  1. There is no limit on the number of visa exempt entries you can do. The 90 days in 6 months rule went away more than 4 years ago.

Your best option would to make a trip to Vientiane or Savannakhet Laos and get a 2 entry tourist visa. This would give you a 6 month stay by extending each 60 day entry 30 days at immigration. You would have to make a trip out and back to use the 2nd entry before the visa expires 90 days after date of issue.

Thank you.. The Thai consulate in hull must be slightly out of date. as it still mentioned the 90day and 6 month rule..

  2. Just to add to this.

How many times can i use the just turn up at the airport and get a 30day stamp in a row?

Can i only do it 3 months in a row? Then have to leave thailand for so long?

I'm planning on being here for another 5-6 months.

I don't mind leaving every 30days as long is it ok to do this and wont be rejected 90days later..

What is my options for being able to stay for this long?

  3. If you have a non immigrant B multi entry visa and return during the validity you will indeed get a new 90 day stay. It will not be a tourist visa.

This is excellent news smile.png Thank you. Hoping to find a new job so I can extend the non B without having to leave Thailand. Hoping this is possible though it might not be since the visa is issued for a certain job? I don't know.

Was your current NON B given to you by your current employer at immigration office or by yourself before you came to Thailand?

  4. Guys i'm currently on a Non B visa that was extended by my work. Its valid until Dec 2013..

From what i have searched on here is if i leave my job i have to leave the country on my last day of employment as the extension was given to me because of work so the Non B i have becomes void..

Thing is i plan to stay in Thailand for a few more months..

Can i simply just fly out and return and get a 30day Visa on arrival for tourist purpose? and just do a visa run every 30day?

or i had the idea of coming back into thailand for 30days going to visit a friend in Australia and apply for a 90 day visa while in Australia?

    I hold a UK passport.

Will i need to go to immigration with my work for any cancellation of anything. My work hold my permit.

  5. I'm currently planning on moving out my 3 bedroom house Songkhla town outskirts into a small apartment in Hat Yai. I no longer need the big house and want to save some pennies.

Most the nice ones i have seen are full booked.

Currently going to head to MT Manison if i can't find anything better soon.

    Anybody recommendations?

  6. Right guys must thank your help on Songkhla, Well my trip to see my work in the area could of went better but yeah Songkhla is quiet and i like that i'm not down for place like pattaya and patong..

So like 90% sure i'm going to take the job.

What i need to know is there any Muay Thai gyms in Songkhla Town or close buy? I never seen any during my time there.

Iifting weights and just running bores the life out me and would much rather find a Thai Gym to train at to keep fit..

    Is there anything?

  7. Thanks for the advice all.

Arrive in Hat Yai on Wednesday so will hopefully have plenty of time to try get round Songkhla town to see if it's somewhere i could stay.

There would have to be a major problem before i'd turn the job down to be honest.

  8. It will be Songkhla Town, I don't mind the quiet life as long as there some things to do ie sports and a nice beach.. I can always head into Hat yai for something if Songkhla doesn't have it..

Just want to know its safe enough, As will be there for a while and want to know my family will be safe..

  9. Hi All,

Whats life like in Songkhla? Looks like i'm transfering with my work to Songkhla. I'll be out there next week for two weeks to check it out.

Is Songkhla Safe? is there plenty to do? also is it easy to find apartments etc..?

Any tips for staying there? cost of living i assume is cheaper than the main area's..
