  1. I had been hoping to do the 7 days imprisonment and then the next 7 at a mate's place but that seems to be a non-starter. At least I'll be able to go out for a few beers with him though!
  2. Well I'm not an anti-vaxxer so yah-boo-sucks to you. And shouldn't it be the responsibility of the drug companies that are making millions $$$$$$$$$ from these vaccines to help those that suffer long term consequences?
  3. UJ, is it only entry into BKK that doesn't require a return air ticket? as the Sandtrap requirements for Phuket do
  4. Can't, I don't live in UK, I live in Thailand and the Thai DLT can't issue me with a new UK licence.
  5. It reads like you have a valid point to make, but I just can't understand what it is. Can you explain better? I guess English is not your native language and you Google translated this?
  6. But do the medical community really know the long term affects? What if these vaccines are the new Thalidomide?
  7. Is this guy the only one in Thailand talking sense? It's what the "expert" in the West are saying also.
  8. From that link that must have taken ages to type out! It's necessary to Have booked and purchased return air travel;
  9. San Miguel Light has the lowest carb content, and Carlsberg if you can get it. Otherwise drink spirits which are negligible in carbs. The % alcohol content has nothing to do with calories or carbs relative to the beers. Watch out for 'hidden carb' content, like in sauces or dips, and in vegetables and fruit which most people on a diet assume are healthy.
  10. And a waste of 30 seconds of your life!
  11. My friends were offered a choice when they rocked up, Az or Pf. I guess if they run out of one later in the day then there was no choice?
  12. Sorry, I'd mistakenly thought that Janssen was the Thai manufacturer for J&J vaccine from what I had read.
  13. So I have to stay in the hotel 14 days (nights), I thought there was a 7 + 7 plan where I could leave after 7 days but stay on the island in a non-SHA+ hotel?
  14. So.....say I fly out of Thailand and return a month before my Extension of Stay expires, I only need the Covid-19 insurance for that 1 month that I'll get as permission to stay on arrival? What about the airlines (or immigration on arrival)? Do they require an outbound Thailand flight if I only have Covid insurance for 1 month? And I suppose I could fly in to the Phuket Sandtrap and only do 7 days quarantine there, then 7 more days on the island and then return home?
  15. Same as you. UK and Banglamung. They wouldn't accept my UK licence as it has no picture on it, although they had accepted it 26 years ago when I got my first Thai driving licence.
  16. Not true. I know a lot of Thais who have been vaccinated, and all under 60.,
  17. I was asked to present an IDP, they wouldn't accept my home licence. So I had to do both practical and theory tests to get my Thai licence.
  18. A Thai driving licence is not ISSUED until BOTH theory and practical are passed. But what has that got to do with your topic title?
