  1. Tell them what you want in your bank account each month and the tax (and don't forget National Insurance) is up to them. That's what I always do.
  2. "Britons will no longer be advised to avoid holidays to 32 destinations, including Bangladesh, Fiji, Gambia and Malaysia, the Foreign Office has said." Bangladesh????? Where there's no vaccines and they're dropping like flies in the streets, that's safe to travel to and from, but not Thailand?
  3. Because the UK do not recognise ANY vaccines given in Thailand, so it doesn't matter which one you got.
  4. It's top appease the Baht Bus Mafia, all new developments have to be farthest away from Walking Street so everyone has to use a Baht Bus to get there and back.
  5. Pattaya International Ladies Club Bridge Club And I always see a few old biddies in Hemmingway's on a Thursday having lunch and playing cards. And on my morning beach walks there's a few older ladies walking also. So there's some around, and something for them to do.
  6. A retired expat CAN retire to Viet Nam if they are married to a Vietnamese as you get a 5 year renewable visa. So. 1. Viet Nam 2. Philippines 3. Greece
  7. Are there any airlines requiring people to be double vaccinated before they can board a 'plane? What about single vaccinated? Or policy regarding un-vaccinated? Is there any criteria for the airlines? Is there likely to be?
  8. True, I read that Aus universities are suffering financially as the majority of their students are overseas Chinese. And the same is happening to International Schools here in Thailand with classes being merged together because of lower pupil numbers and so teachers and other staff being made redundant.
  9. I moved to Pattaya in 1994 so it is 'new' to me as I still remember the original Central Festival.
  10. Another one that's not heard of Big Yellow Taxi.
  11. But it's those far flung islanders like NZ and Australia in the East, and Vancouver in the West, that encompass the whole of the suns arc making the eternal sunrise possible.
  12. And have they been studying the effects of Covid vaccines for a few years? NO! So they can't really be sure what will happen in a few years.
  13. The un-vaccinated are not going to cause the virus to mutate as it can already affect them in its current state, it is the vaccinated that the virus has to work out how to make sick, and mutate in order to make them sick.
  14. Definitely pretty obvious. The risks of this experimental vaccine are OK to take for 'owl <deleted>' like myself but my kid doesn't want to be vaccinated just yet.
  15. Went to the T21 in Bangkok, it didn't excite me in any way so I'm not likely to go to the one in Pattaya. Don't even go to the new Central Festival if I can help it.
  16. Perhaps they did, hence the available extra space to build the car park, but maybe didn't have the funding in place for the extra construction costs at the time.
  17. The pulled down paradise to put up a parking lot.
  18. Isn't it that once over 50% of the units are sold the co-owners (i.e. non-developer owners) can take over the management of the Condo?
  19. It's happened at my condo building, but the JP had to go to court to do it,so full legal recourse is available. And they have another case pending which is expected to be won also.
  20. Yes, but some still choose to have QEII as their monarch, like Canada and Australia (who voted for her!), and 14 other countries around the world. So the sun STILL never sets on the British Empire.
  21. My wife wanted to buy ONE at a local pharmacy and they insisted she buy a box of 25 so she declined. I've seen single kits available in another pharmacy for Baht 350. I also had a link to buy online which worked out at Baht 18 (yes eighteen) each for bulk but didn't bother with it.
