I long ago switched from Pantip to Fortune Town, Rama 9 metro. Smaller but no crowds, no porn, and no fahrang pricing. Tesco Lotus in the same building - I buy accessories there because they have a 7 day no quibble return policy (some staff cannot believe that is possible in Thailand, but you can insist).

Ban Chang means warehouse, storage place. Nothing to do with elephants. Village on the waterfront is called Pala.

Metro are strict that you must have a UK address, and they won't send cards to any other address.

$349? - I think Muratremix is confusing the expensive Asus T300 with the smaller T100

The important thing is to be near the BTS skytrain, convenient for most places.
Try www.asiahotel.co.th/asia_bangkok
Car park and walk straight into skytrain from first floor. Reasonable rates in low season if booked online.

Mine updated automatically almost a year ago. Perhaps you have left it too late for automatic, but the Samsung Service Center should be able to do.

To TS79 again,
Can you really use USB (or even esata) to connect to a computer?
I find it impossible to watch (or even copy) any recorded programs except thru Truevision's PVR.
I was hoping to take the Orico on the road and watch via my laptop.
Incidentally, my experiments did not lead to unintentionally wiping my recordings, so no damage done.

Thank you TS79.
I spoke to a more competent speaker at Truevisions and they do simply require the subscriber number to register the PVR. I have started recording.

to Bulshy and others,
" a quick call to TrueVisions to activate the PVR service"; not so quick for me. I cannot make out what numbers they want, are they saying 'serial number', 'enclosure number' or what, and where do I find them?
I have Orico 2598 with cables and Seagate 1 TB sata.
