Would appreciate information regarding booster vaccination in Pattaya or even in Bangkok with Moderna. Even if I have to pay for it, but I will need an official certificate. The BPHospital told me that they are still waiting for moderna delivery, it may takes weeks. I have had my 2 vax with Pfizer in France and have the certificate with the QR Code
Thank you

Hi everyone,
For years, I used to received on my « Promotions » 2 ThaiVisa emails per day and only 1 on Sundays
But since a few days, I only receive one single email per day
I dont know why and there is no information from TV regarding the reduction on the number on emails
Anyone else in the same situation ?
Cheers

Dear Peter Denis,
I am interested in applying for a Non Imm O-A Visa in my home-country, and very interested to receive a comprehensive Guideline document with the options on how to meet the health-insurance requirement for such application.
I am a French citizen, 72 years old, since the last 10 years I always had my retirement visa NON-O extented without any problem. The current extension is valid until the 18 of january 2021 and I have a multi entree until that date but I am blocked in France because holders of such visa are not allowed to re enter Thailand.
Can you, please, help me with a guideline and informations to get a NON – OA Retirement visa and of course a CoE from the Thai Embassy in Paris
I sincerely thank you very much in advance for your kind assistance
Best regards,

Hi, everybody,
I am a French citizen, 71 years old, still single (except 1 or 2 times a month...) and no kids
In the past, I have had my retirement visa renewed without any problem during the last 12 years, but now, as you all know it has become much and much more difficult
Ok.
Then and against my will, I dont have any other choice than to reduce very much the time I spend in Thailand.
I intend to go to Phnom Penh (I go there every year and knows well the place) to apply for a 3 months visa, my questions :
1/. Does a 3 months Tourist visa for Thailand exist or not ?
2/. If it doesn’t exist, then I will have to ask for a 3 months visa... My question: is this a Non –O or a Non-OA Visa ?
3/. What list of documents the Consulate will ask me to provide in order to deliver (or not) the visa
I thank you very much for the updated info that you could provide to help me as I am a becoming more and more depressed every day
Cheers

Granted I was wanting to stay for a year without having to exit and reënter but maybe they can do something similar with multiple entries.
I asked them:
What is the least painful way to stay in Vietnam (DaNang or HCMC) long stay, around 1 year? I'm looking for something like a retirement visa, long stay in one place and little travel needed to extend time. I'm American age 73 currently retired in Thailand.

At the airport/ Vietnamese embassy, you'll present this approval letter to get a stamp on your passport, and usually, the stamping fee is 135 USD. Hi everyone,
As I will have to leave Thailand for visa reason: maybe someone could help me with some advices regarding LAOS
I am 71 and I have had a retirement visa in Thailand since the last 11 years
Do they have retirement visas in Laos ? If yes: how much does that cost per year ? Do you have to have a certain amount of funds in one of their bank ? What is the procedure to get a retirement visa ?
Thanks in advance to those who took some of their time to help
Cheers

There is no limit on the amount of Thai baht bank notes that may be brought into the country. A person traveling to Vietnam, the People's Republic of China (only Yunnan province) and Thailand's bordering countries is allowed to take out up to THB 2,000,000. A person traveling to other countries is allowed up to THB 50,000.
Any person bringing into or taking out of Thailand Thai baht bank notes, foreign currency bank notes or negotiable monetary instruments in an aggregate amount exceeding 450,000 Baht or USD 15,000 or its equivalent must declare to a customs officer.
There was an almost identical question posted the day before yours in the same forum - did you look?
Thank you TOPT
I didnt see the topic 2 days ago
Thanks again this will help us a lot

2 million baht limit to neighboring countries and Vietnam. That is for Thai Baht currency only. The amount is unlimited to any country if transported in foreign currency.
Yes, you must declare it if the value is more than US$ 15,000 equivalent. Do that at the VAT refund counter at the airport before you pass through security.
Thank you very much Monomial, where can I find an oficial printed document confirming that,

Hi everyone,
I have read here in the past that we can take up to one million baths in cash when flying to a neighbouring country like Laos or Malaysia
It this still true and still legal ?
Do I have to make a custom declaration at the Bangkok airport ?
Thanks in advance to those who will take some time to help me with their responses

Since the last 7 years I used to go to the Pattaya Tax (Excises) Department once a year, with all the documents to make a tax return claim. I never had any problem at all. I handed over the docs to the guy, he filled the form in Thai for me, make the necessary photocopies, I give him 200 baths and 5 to 8 weeks later, I used to receive my check
This year, they told me that they don’t fill up the forms anymore, and, that I have to find a Thai Person to do it for me....
The people I know are incapable to do it
Anyone here know an accountant shop or office in PTYA where I could get it done at a fair price ?
Thanks to all for your help

I intend to spend a few days relaxing in Udon Thani on my way to Laos
I know, this city has not a good reputation among TV’s readers but I still want to go there
Can anyone recommend me a good, confortable hotel with a swimming pool even if it’s expensive
Also, for evenings, can anyone recommend me some places to meet Gays and lady boys, please
I thank you for your kind help
