  1. In Bangna you can try out Kaylang House, they have a lot of excellent northern dishes. Personally I love the Northern Thai Spicy Sausage!

You can also order delivery to your home within Phra Khanong or Bangna. Just go to "GoTasty" website and they will have Kaylang House in their list.

  2. Hello all,

I have started my own online food delivery service and for that I have motorbike employees who hang around until there are orders that needs to be delivered.

Since we have just started, there is currently more downtime without orders than there will be in the future. However, there will always be some downtime where the motorbike employees idle.

As a westerner I want the environment in my company to be relaxed and see no problem in a break-room to unwind and spend downtime when there are no tasks to be made.

This is where you come in… I already have a spare monitor which I can hookup - I just need to decide on what to feed it!

I am no stranger to PC games myself, but I have very limited knowledge to what the consoles can offer, PS, Xbox, wii etc.

As you can imagine the priority should always be business first and play second. Therefore, I am only interested in games that can be easily left when a task emerges (pause, save etc. or be small enough to walk away from without the feeling of just needing a little more time to finish)

This might impact how engaging the game should be, maybe mini games on the console is a way to go?

Additionally, my drivers are young and eager to learn English when they get the chance. I believe if I choose a proper game, I could also have them improve their language at the same time.

What are your thoughts on this, is there a game that comes to mind that would be perfect for me to look into?

  3. Our company is in need of some additional assistance THIS weekend.

We have just launched our service in Bangna this week and we are looking for a friendly well-spoken person to help on the phones in our customer call center, taking orders and ensuring excellent service for our customers.

The job itself is not difficult and you will not be alone at any time. However, fluency in Thai language is a must.

We are looking for someone to come on either Saturday or Sunday between 16 and 22.

The setting is casual, relaxed and since it’s a standby job there is a good chance that you will have time to do personal stuff on the computer.

If this has sparked your interest, please send a mail to [email protected] with expected wage

  4. BOI is not an easy route, we have a company here and went through the SME people. Guy I know went through the BOI and regrets it, as they are snowed under in reporting requirements. These are not internet companies, but real buildings and machine jobs, maybe different rules on software and e commerce. Jim

I will admit that it is not for everyone to go through the process, It will require dedication and a lot of patience, but I believe this is the case for any route of setting up a company properly in Thailand.

While I cannot speak for the building and machine jobs (though I would assume its the same timeline), the e-commerce promotion I have applied for require me to make the first reporting within 6 month of the establishment to obtain the final certificate. I am not quite at that stage yet, but it has not snowed me under..

  5. Opposed to many of the discouraging responses in this thread, there is actually a channel to circumvent most of obstacles mentioned by OP.

I have recently started e-commerce business in Thailand and I am currently still in the start up process. However , I have already completed the registration of it as a 100% foreign owned company in addition to obtaining a work permit without having 4 Thai employees.

Many people will tell you that you need a lawyer to obtain this, but if you have a desire to pursue your goal it is not the case. It is entirely possible to setup a company as a foreigner according to Thai law and regulation, personally I would never consider entering a foreign country and not follow their rules.

I would recommend that you take a look at the Thailand Board of Investment website: http://www.boi.go.th/index.php?page=procedures

BOI is setup to support foreign companies that can contribute value to Thailand in the form of knowledge and know-how in areas which Thailand lacks. Software is one of the promoted areas, and I am sure you can find a way for your media company to fit this description.
