  1. Help needed please.

My Thai girlfriend has just been granted a visitors visa for the UK. I would also like to take her to my appartment in Portugal while she is here.

Does anyone know if I can download a copy of the schengen visa application form online, or do I have to write to the Portugese Embassy to get this form.

    Many thanks in advance.

  2. adam and eve.

    10. God was worried that Adam would frequently become lost in the Garden.

    09. God knew that one day Adam would require someone to locate and hand him the remote.

    08. God knew Adam would never go out and buy himself a new fig leaf when his wore out and would therefore need Eve to buy one for him.

    07. God knew Adam would never be able to make a doctor's, dentist, or haircut appointment for himself.

    06. God knew Adam would never remember which night to put the garbage on the curb.

    05. God knew if the world was to be populated, men would never be able to handle the pain and discomfort of childbearing.

    04. As the Keeper of the Garden, Adam would never remember where he left his tools.

    03. Apparently, Adam needed someone to blame his troubles on when God caught him hiding in the garden.

    2. As the Bible says, It is not good for man to be alone!

And finally, the Number 1 reason why God created Eve...

    01. When God finished the creation of Adam, He stepped back, scratched his head, and said, "I can do better than that."

  3. I'm not sure a Thai girl with a Farang bloke is automatically seen as punter/puntee here in Thailand.

Surely its more that if there is a big difference in looks and/or age, then people might make that assumption.

From my experience, the automatic assumption is that of punter/puntee.

My experience may be clouded by the fact that most of this comes from time spent near Pattaya and Bangkok.

Not that I have really noticed this, but it is what my girlfriend has said to me.

  4. It should not be a problem, my girlfriend did a similar thing, she is a teacher and university lecturer. When she came over for a visit she applied on the basis that she would be using it as educational exercise for herself.

I arranged through contacts here for her to spend 3 days each week at 2 different schools. She had a letter of invitation from the schools together with a letter from her boss at university agreeing to her coming here during her work time (so she did not use any of her holidays :o ).

She also had to provide the usual details of where she was staying and money in the bank etc., she provided all the info on the Friday and was told to pick up her visa on the following Tuesday. No problem at all, she said the main concern that the embassy people had was her being able to afford to the trip.

As long as you have everything prepared I can not see it being a problem.

  5. The ignore attribute is an attribute to not run a test or test fixture for a period of time. The person marks either a Test or a TestFixture with the Ignore Attribute. The running program sees the attribute and does not run the test or tests. The progress bar will turn yellow if a test is not run and the test will be mentioned in the reports that it was not run.

This feature should be used to temporarily not run a test or fixture. This is a better mechanism than commenting out the test or renaming methods, since the tests will be compiled with the rest of the code and there is an indication at run time that a test is not being run. This insures that tests will not be forgotten.
