i was today at laem ngop immigration to ask what exactly i will need to do my first one year extension based on marriage.

beside all the paper work mentioned in this tread i was ask to bring a friend or neighbor with me include a copy of his tabien ban and a signed id card copy. they said they will interwiew him as well as my wife.

has anyone heard of this before? i was not expecting such a request.

not that i dont have neighbors, but it could be maybe difficult to bring them with me as everybody is working during high season here on koh chang.

is the free tourist visa restricted to only one entry?

a friend was told at the hamburg consulate that they would give him only one, if he want a double entry he has to pay for the second one.

When i want to apply the 20 decembre 08 in Switzterland for the Non Imm B multiple entry they told me that they don't do it anymore since 18 decembre 08.....

it is theoretically still possible to get a non B multiple at any thai consulate in Switzerland, but the embassy in Bern has to approve it.

New since December 18th, 2008 : the Royal Thaï Consulate will issue Non-Immigrant, multiple-entry, only with prior permission from the Royal Thaï Embassy in Bern.

i will apply for a non b multiple in basel next month.

i wonder how it will be, as i had a non b visa every year since 8 years.

that works indeed, but it is not possible to finish a application. it end up in a loop.

i think for now it is better to use on arrival, even it is to expensive. at least in had lek/koh kong, it cost 1200 thb. usd are not accepted.

What web site are we talking about? The reference was http://evisa.mfaic.gov.kh/e-visa/vindex.aspx and it opens fine for me using OpenDNS or DNSAdvantage settings. As does the other website in the Admin post.

all day long it was not possible eveb with opendns, but since shortly it opens up again. but if you try to apply a error comes up.

Also, I do not understand why your WP has previously only been renewed in 3 month blocks. New regulations that came into effect early this year now means the Labour Department issue WP for 12 months, and expiry date of WP is no longer linked to ‘permission to stay’ date.

that rule will just support the corruption at the diffrent offices. its well know that some extensions where not possible at some offices but there where possible in bkk. without tea money...

Dual citizenship has no effect (for Thailand) - if you are a Thai male citizen of military age you must register for military service (far from all who register serve but there is no provision to not register because you have another nationality).

register is one thing. but i guess a male of military age has to do that for his second country as well.

that’s why the question, where he has to serve finally? i know you can not serve in two army’s.

it would be also interesting to know how the thai army handles dual citizenship.
