You won't have an issue entering with a visa.

You could obtain the non O in UK or enter with a tourist visa and obtain non O in Thailand.

Do you have a Thai bank account in your name only?

Yes, had a bank account for years so no issue there. I'm just worrying (probably unnecessarily) about being denied entry on a 60 day Tourist Visa as I've already had nearly 5 months in Thailand since early Dec last year.

  2. I want to apply for a non immigrant O visa from the UK with the intention to do a 12 month extension after arrival.

Thai E-Visa want's me to prove insurance as shown in point 6 in the attached, any suggestions on the best company to purchase it from ?

Also, item 8 on the list - not sure what document to provide ?

I've thought about using a 60 day tourist visa but I was recently in Thailand on a 60 day TR + 30 day extension + 60 day Covid extension so I'm concerned that I may have a problem as I'll have been in country nearly 5 months out of the 6 month tourist limit per 12 months.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

  3. Hi

I've been to Samui many times but have a query that I hope someone can help with...

Having stayed at various hotels in Chaweng I've noticed how the tides can change during the year. Some friends and I are thinking about accomodation for next Feb and quite like some of the hotels at the north end of Chaweng near the reef, but I know that at some times of year the water is lovely - at other times when the tides are lower it gets a bit muddy and not great for swimming.

Any one got an idea how the tides may fall in Feb?

    Many thanks
