Hello friends
are there any english speaking buddhist communities in thailand? The only one I could find is green papaya sangha in chiang mai but they don't seem to be active, is there anything else you might know of?
Thank you!

I am currently living in phangan and thinking of relocating to samui soon, wondering what is an area on Samui that is more quiet/chill /less touristy/ more residential ( I am talking pre covid situation - assuming things will get more normal in a few months), I know the all island is very touristy, but still looking for the least one, less than chaweng etc.
is there some place like that?
thanks in advance

Make a long story short, bought an expensive monitor from shopee, I asked the seller on the shopee chat If i can return the item If I did not like it and he said yes.
got it and the size seemed too big to me, sent it to return that shopee rejected since the I opened the box.
I told them that the seller agree to a return on the case" change of mind" Shopee then told me they will send me back the monitor and I can issue an appeal.
I sent an appeal and then after the package was already sent back to me I got this email from shopee:
Thank you for contacting Shopee Thailand
Order number :
According to your concern about return and refund
Now the parcel (Tracking no. ) has been delivered back to you if you need to refund. Please reject the parcel to courier After the parcel back to seller then would contact seller to ask for refund again.
Please reply back us this email if you have reject the parcel already. We will assist you accordingly. So I was a bit confuse to how come they can now all of sudden offering a refund again and already found someone to buy the monitor off of me for a small loss so i called them to confirm and the shopee call guy had confirm once again that I need to reject the package and they will try to get me the refund.
and So i did. the monitor was sent back to shopee and arrive with them 3 days ago and since then I heard nothing back. try emailing them, calling them, no answer, zero communication. this all thing gives so much stress, it seems now like the monitor and my money are gone and no one is talking to me. an absolute nightmare.

vaccines available ? To whom ?
if only 97 deaths in almost 16 months, is there any real need for vaccines ?
if you want to open up the country to tourists then yes.

Shopee would make decision on wrong or defective item - but if you made an agreement outside the buying platform they are in no way responsible and they say so in terms of service I am sure. I suspect the seller is not as willing as you believe.
I made the agreement via the shopee chat option

Don't understand how this has anything to do with Shopee - you claim an agreement with seller not Shopee. You should be in contact with seller I would think. Has seller agreed to the return to Shopee? Do not believe 'change of mind' is a normal option for returns.
It's up to shopee to make the decision - not the seller. yes the seller had agree to a return in case I am not happy with the product before I made my order.

So, the one year lockdown was just a waste, they only postponed the inevitable.
well not really. in this one year there are now 4-5 vaccines available so any time advantage you get before that is a win.

I have order a monitor I was not too sure about it size, before I made the order I contact the seller and he agree I will be able to return the product in case "change of mind" - which then I did choose to do since the monitor size was too big to my liking. I sent it back to shopee and then shopee decided to decline my return request and are going to ship the monitor back to me - even though I have provided then with evidence that the seller agreed to a return. very very disappointed with this and feels like I been tricked.

Guys question, the payment option "ATM bank transfer" do you know if I really can only use ATM machine for that or can I just send them the funds via my online bangkok bank service?

Not open and used is usually for things of hygeine related or consumables.
Credit card is good as you have a backup if you have issues and the money will be returned more quickly back to your card.
great so I should just open a return case with Lazada then i guess

Not in this case. How did you pay for it ?
what do you mean "not in this case" ? I paid with a credit card

There is an area in your "orders" where you can click "return" he then has to accept and you will be given a label to print and attach to return it to the seller.
If he fails to respond to your return request within 7 days it will be escalated to Lazada.
Or you can contact them at that point.
Just now, garrya said:Every seller on Lazada comes under the 7-day money back guarantee.
Just open a return request and Lazada will assist you. Shouldn't be a problem.
7!!! days
thanks guys,
is this true even if I opened and used the item? I was under the impression the 7 days money back policy is only for items that has not been opened and used? this is why I reached out to him before the sell and asked him if he will be willing to accept the return even If I used the laptop in order to test it -
I was in the market for a new laptop. I saw one on lazada but was worried to order it as the reviews online for that model were mix. I talked to the seller of the laptop via chat, express my concerns about ordering something online that I am not able to test before. then I asked him if he is willing for me to open the laptop and test it after receiving it - and then if I am not happy with it - to be able to return it to him for a full refund. he answered yes. then I asked again to confirm - again a full yes for him. he just said this had to be not later then 7 days.
cool.
that made me relax about it, also the seller is an established store on lazada with many positive feedbacks. I went ahead and order the laptop.
I got it a few days ago, and the online bad reviews about this model were truth. I told the seller via chat I want to return it and asked for his address so I can mail it to him. he asked why, I explained the reasons to him and then he went silent. Haven't heard nothing from him, I can see he read my messages, but he is not replaying.
what am I to do here? was I naive taking his word he will accept the laptop back In a case I won't be happy? I guess lazada won't help me ? as their policy is "returns only in original unopened condition" so I guess his tactic here is for me to give up and stop bothering him and just keep the laptop.
(the store seem to be a physical store in chiang mai. (i am far away in the south at the moment)
if lazada won't help me, can I do something legally to him? I have all the chat logs of him stating clearly I will be able to return the laptop to him If i am not happy with the purchase. this must be binding in some way?
Thanks for any help and advice -

9 year old, so the float device inside the tank is likely defect.
Should be much cheaper than that, below 1000 baht I would think, see below link, item 13.
Check with another shop.

I just bought a 2011 pcx 125 that has a faulty gas gauge, it is always flashing and showing full. I’m on a small island and the choice of mechanics is not great here. I took it to a place this morning - the guy there just took a quick look at the dashboard and said 4500 baht. He didn’t check anything else and said need to order parts from Bangkok and replace the all front panel.
does this make sense? Shouldn’t he check some other stuff before deciding the completely replace all those parts?
Any help will be much appreciated -

My gf is in one of islands in Thailand and staying there for a while and bought a cheap bike with no green book. The deed has been done already. My question now - if the bike happens to be stolen and police stops her and check the registration , can she get into some kind of troubles besides a fine and the bike being taken from her ? We don’t care so much about the money as it was a cheap bike, but I don’t want her to get into some kind of troubles driving a stolen scooter.
Thanks In advance for any help

also, would the motorbike airport parking will be a good idea or it’s risky leaving it there for so long?
thanks in advance for any help

Hello
I need to send my laptop from Bangkok to my home country outside of Thailand , normal Thai post do now allow items that have battery inside to be posted with them - so they declined me, checked DHL but the price was crazy expensive (7500 baht)
do I have any other options?
Thanks in advance!
-
Hey, yeah already played with it but unless you actually have it for your day to day tasks it's not so easy to be 100% sure,
I just called the apple guys and there is no return option in Thailand unless the product is faulty
My MacBook Air is suppose to arrive tomorrow so I guess I stuck with him if I like it or not, pretty sure I will, there is so many love posts around the web about it , only concern is the small screen but I guess I can always buy a cheap monitor to connect it to it to get some more screen if needed

Hello all
I'm debating with myself between the MBA 11 vs the retina pro 13,
While lurking on the USA forums about it I see a very common advice is
Just to order one , test it and if you don't like it there is a 14 days trial period you
Can return the product for a full refund,
Does anyone knows or ever used this return option in ordering from the online
Thailand apple store?
Thanks for any help
