????True indeed. The neuropsychologists told me years ago, following concussion sustained in a road accident, that I may never fully recover. But I am pleased with my progress. Short-term memory loss and a total mess with spelling has made life a real challenge. However, I am now back into brushing up on all the languages I speak. The spelling in the Germanic languages gets mixed up, due to similarities.

Never mind. My occasional stumble gives smarta****s like yourself the opportunity to kick someone when they are down, which no doubt is what you live for. Enjoy.

(Into my 70's now, and guess what: I don't care.)

Nice article for someone who doesn't care. So it's true indeed, or I kicked you when you were down, which is it? Lol, if that counts as a kicking, you've lived a very soft life.

    Probably been eaten.

A huge number of cats and dogs have disappeared around the villages.

    (Seriously)

I converted (temporarily) to the local insanity just so I'd be eligible to pray that someone comes and disappears the four screaming mutts (24/7) that live opposite. The snorting pigs next door are gone, must be the half a kilo of amulets I'm wearing.

Someone would have to be a particularly pathetic individual to become offended by this...

Or an Australian who's just learned about the embarrassing effort the French are making to get their people in Thailand vaccinated. Embarrassing for us, that is.

This is a country where greed strangles compassion.  I used to really love Thailand despite its faults.  The stark reality of the anti-foreigner hostility has sobered me up and the bloom is off the romance.

Stark is right. Yes it's more difficult now to turn a blind eye to the sublime passive-aggressive xenophobia. And this germ has revealed stark realities in lots of places, including back 'home.' I wonder if I'll even recognise the place...

It sounds like you are expecting a local nurse, in a public vaccination setup to speak a foreign language. The advice was to register at one of two hospitals in Bangkok or contact the local health authority, not just show up at Central Westgate Mall. If you don't know where your local health centre is, then that's your responsibility. You seem to be acting in a rather entitled way, living in a foreign country.

Thank God for the Entitled Way Police. I was just reaching for the entitled way hotline when as luck would have it, you happened along.
