  1. Well, Tourist tends to spend less and less money every year, looking for savings, tuk tuk drivers have a really hard time this season as Farangs tend to walk more, and rent bikes and bicycles to save money. Logical response would be to lower the rates but they just start war with Russians instead blaming them for their falling income.

  2. I agree with you it seems to me that the ex pat community are the only ones that worry about Thailand and its corruption so realy its a waste of time because who takes any notice of us

The same goes for coral reefs, growing mountains of garbage in Phuket, cutting of trees, using wild animals to make photos on Bangla and so on....

  3. Sometimes they want to do it very fast and they will find a reason to give you fine no matter what.

Only if you're doing something wrong.

Paying on the spot, without a receipt, maybe

Well 5 years in Phuket happened once to my friend so obviously it is not a common thing. He had a helmet, international driving license for motorbike and officer for some reason was keep checking him, asking questions, checking motorbike insurance, my friend got little bit inpatient and started to complain and he got fine for complaining 500 bht.

  4. Except not wearing helmet police should fine for: riding motorbike and talking on the phone, riding motorbike side by side and chit chatting with friend, riding motorbike in the dark without light ( hate it and usualy they have black clothing just to make them more difficult to spot).
