  1. Hi cyclists..I come back to Thailand to cycle south from BKK....not bringing a bike this time but will buy from Pakkred store...unfortunately they dont reply to emails and when I called from Mexico, no one there with english. I know the bike I want and price...would one of you kind fellow cyclists call or have wife call there and hold a large frame LA PROLINE NAVIGATOR for me I arrive on 8th and would just go from airport, buy it, throw on panniers and head down to Malaysia..In last 3 years I have cycled 10 months in Thailanda btw....I would appreciate the help as I have been frutrated to contact them..so what else is new ?

thanks in advance...email me at jameson2wheels at gmail

  2. I guess I am not surprised at the out of context comments, suggestions, and psuedo or realtime accusations flying over my simple question. Thank you to those who answered my question. To the others I guess the internet is a place to parade your thoughts and feelings about any topic you might surmise is valid, and extrapolate some of the wildest conjectures. My my I think some people have too much time on their hands.

  3. Excuse me first if posted in wrong place. Simply want to know if income letter from embassy still all thats needed in CM..I mistakenly left Thaiville and didnt buy a reentry visa..family emergency i was a little rattled...and now guess that i have to completely reapply for the same retirement visa i got in CM a year ago...any new news from the great north on retirement visa requirements ~ changes ??

  4. I'm back in Chiang Rai....I saw none for sale at any shops on the way up here from Prachuap - which I did with Smash 110 saaling at 65kph.a flying trip...that little suzuki is a killer, 10 years old, 50K km, it's been run out of oil more than once......you can't kill them evidently.

I'll go to CM in a week or so and look, seems like BKK is the place though.

    everybody thanks for help :-)

  5. Since I posted I see some bikes online from 6000-19,000

Yamaha and Honda arent really suited to tug a hack (pull a sidecar - saling) :-)

Still looking...have 1 maybe on way north too CM from Bang Saphan..I see lots in Bangkok but its long way again to come for moto...maybe have to do it though

Anyone know how much on train if bring one ?? I asked once and was told 800B to CM, but that was without me...I heard its maybe 200 as luggage if I go ??

  6. THAT'S what I'm talkin' about !!

    Price range 20k or under.

I have saaling and Suzuki Smash 110 pretty old and no book that I'm riding back from Bang Saphon in a couple of days.

Suzy is ok but no book. So I thought I'd get the GTO mule to pull the saaling...we had similiar in mexico and cant break them...

plus they look good......plus plus I not have so much money and all I can get now.

Thanks all, if you puy your hands on a good one yell out.

    james

  7. I'm a cyclist many years...all Mexico many times, then I go tu US. 3 years i cycle Mexico, into USA again, fly BKK -cycle Thailand, Lao, Thailand, India, Nepal...India is the worst by far - Thailand and Mexico the best.

Sounds like an unfortunate accident. I find in last 2 years travel before I retire here, that almost all drivers are very respectful of cyclist and admire them, and show great courtesy....including near Thaton an driver seeing me camped at Salaa - goes into town without asking me and brings back.."you like Beer !" big Leo, big smile..."where you go?" - Chiang Kong -"Ok I take you"..not the first Thai or Indian or Mexican or Lao to do this.

Cycling is dangerous. Look both ways 3 times. Keep an eye on drivers..dont daydream and maybe you are lucky like me so far.

long story sorry. I host riders on Warm Showers web, many riders touring in world. Few accidents.

    USA statistics are worse.

Sorry for their pain and the family. I can get killed walking across the street here just as easily.

  8. As I suffered. stroke, have had bought of mental problems, been ripped off in more than one country, due to my own stupidity or cleverness of the other, I have read your reviews of a part of any societies sad aspects and deplore and reject the insensitive and negative comments displayed here concerning the plight of a homeless or other person in need of any form of care. You naysayers...do you also wish us to treat you in the same manner when your turn comes ? Will we wash you down the sink as well, shall we judge and condemn you for any issues you have.

A person or animal in need is just that..in need.
