PM Happy with Thailand Being Best Place to Retire in Asia
milys replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I guess this is another "Super Poll" based on 170 people or so. It's pretty stupid with these pro Prayuth polls. Recently 75% of the thai people praised the governments response to the pandemic in another super poll. That time there was 240 persons answering the questions in a country of 70 million. Ridiculous ! They sure know what they did and that's why they tried to give themselves amnesty for how they handled the pandemic.. I would say that screams guilty. -
Thailand, the most beautiful girls in the world.
milys replied to SAFETY FIRST's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
So you're calling your girlfriend "a beautiful little thing". Maybe they should wear mask 24/7 as all become beautiful. When half of the face is covered by a mask are you surprised that the faces look similar? What was the purpose of the post ? All thai girls are beautiful with a mask on because you can't see their faces or..? -
Well lucky for you there's a new variant incoming. It's a mix of Omicron and Delta called Deltacron and that's doesn't sound good. As long selfish people refuse to take the vaccine they will take up the healthcare for people who really needs it. They should do like they've made in Singapore, if you're unvaxxed and get Covid you should pay the hospital bill yourself, I guesss when it starts to hurt the wallet people will get by BS ideas such "I will do my own research on FB". Have you given it a thought that with a recovery rate of 99% (your own research I guess) there still will be 10 000 people per million who don't recover. That's called dying.

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2021)
milys replied to CharlieH's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I just saw the new movie Don't Look Up. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence and more. It's a satirical movie with parallells to the last American presidency. I think it's one of the funniest movies I've seen since Wag the Dog. Available on Netflix and your local torrent site. -
Super Poll: Gen. Prayut is Thai public’s favorite politician in 2021
milys replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Last when there was a SuperPoll about the governments handling (or rather not handling) of the Covid situation it said that most people were happy. That poll was conducted on 240 persons. Now they even don't bother to tell how many people were asked in the poll rather feeding us meaningless poll results. -
I haven't received payment for a return trip to Europe that was cancelled in the spring 2019. Although I've sent numerous mails to Thai Airways they haven't bothered to reply. I have mostly used Thai the last 15 years because they have direct flights to BKK. This time I had to fly with Qatar Airways and man did it open my eyes. Except for a short stop in Qatar the comfort and service was on another level compared to Thai for a fraction of the price. Bye, bye Thai Airways, you lost another customer.

Udon police arrest Swiss expat who killed armed intruder at his home
milys replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
Possibly because he killed a man and that the police know more than the press. -
Udon police arrest Swiss expat who killed armed intruder at his home
milys replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
Don't be so fast to jump to conclusions y'all. As there are no witnesses only two people knew what happened, and one of them is dead. When there's a possible jealousy angle on the case who knows if there even was an attempted robbery. If you're not James Bond, It seems extremely stupid trying to fight someone with a gun pointed at you, just for money. Maybe the Swiss man had the gun and tied up the other guy at gun point, killed him, fired the gun and threw it in the water. After he roughed himself up a bit before waking up his party-wife to call the police and report the tragic accident. I'm not saying that's how it happened but it's a possibility. So don't jump to conclusions too fast and start whining about how bad falangs are treated by the RTP before you have the facts. -

Bye Bye WISE, WESTERN UNION, VISA, etc
milys replied to Neeranam's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
It's pretty hard to beat Western Union. It costs me about $2 to transfer money from my bank account to Thailand. And it's there immediately, ready to pick up ! Before I used the banks service to do the transfers and it took days because the banks like to keep the money for days so they get interest. Not talking about that they charged more $30 for the transaction and the rate was lousy. I have no association what so ever with WU and I guess there's a lot of similar ways to transfer money cheap and easy. But for the moment $2 works for me ! -
COVID-19: Coronavirus cases in Thailand drop for the fifth consecutive day
milys replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I can't understand why they think now is a good time to try experimenting with methods we don't use in the west. They made a mess of it already, why not play safe.. -
People who wrote this article are obviously not familiar with King Cobras. It's the longest and biggest venomous snake on the planet and can reach six meters in length. Mostly they like to eat other snakes. So, sorry to disappoint y'all but this was just a teenager. This is a huge King Cobra, for reference..

Chinese Embassy Bangkok: Sinovac it is NOT a low quality vaccine
milys replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
My GF amongst many of her friends ordered and payed in advance to get the Moderna vaccine. That was in July from a private hospital and they will receive (hopefully) their shots in October. The price was 3000 baht so, not so surprisingly, you can cut the line even on this if you pay up. -
AstraZeneca-Pfizer vaccine mix to be employed from October
milys replied to Jonathan Fairfield's topic in Thailand News
I just wonder if the mix of different vaccines is so good, why haven't we seen more of it in the west. For me it more looks like; we already had a lot of people vaccinated with the Sinovac that we have a stockpile of and more coming in. Let's not waste that and why not mix it with a proper vaccine and call it thai cutting edge research. Huh ? -

milys replied to Chomper Higgot's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
I am so tired of listening to stupid anti-wax morons. You're talking about your rights and whatever BS. Now it's like this, you're living in a society amongst many people who follow certain rules. While you're choosing to not get vaccinated is only not your choice. You destroy for all other people by letting the virus to mutate. The more people who choose to not get vaccinated are working against the society. You are giving the virus a much better chance to mutate and finally find a way to even get vaccinated people sick. You're a disgrace to the society and to your children and loved ones if you don't get vaccinated. BTW Your rights to choose in this case should be put in a place where the sun don't shine. We don't let murderers walk around us free, do we ? Why should we let you ?
