quick question i have recently bought a smart TV (not that smart) i have had this TV for 3 months now it will turn on at all red light comes on but nothing happens have been in touch with the service provider no luck as yet so will any body on hear know of a good TV repair shop in or around pattaya i am in jomtien telephone number or address so i can get them to come out and have a look.

Hi, on the pcx topic, I have one and have been contemplating doing some touring. would you recommend it for a long journey, been toying with upgrading for this purpose, but not made decision yet, I am happy with it as a day to day bike.

did 500 miles on it last year no problem standard seat a bit un comfy but I have got a custom seat a lot better

Would like to do a bit of a tour on my PCX 125 any suggestions where to go maybe out on the road for 1 week or more.

Anyone done a tour of Thailand on a bike???? .

Just heard some disturbing news, having got divorced last year from my wife ( legal marriage in Thailand ),

A friend of mine has just got married and has been told it is on record in the UK this is the first I have heard of this.

Could any one tell me if this correct?

The reason I am asking is if it is legal in the UK then will that mean I am still married to her the divorce was also legally done so will this mean the UK has a record of this as well.

Or do I need to inform them of this, hope this question makes sense?and someone could tell me who to get in touch with if this is the case.

5 years ago I came to Thailand for a holiday that changed my life?.

After several ladies I meet one that I thought was a good one,my mistake anyway.........after many visits to see her over 5 years and spending close to 20 grand English we got married.

Simple wedding no frills anyway to cut a long story short came over this year stopping for 4 months 5 days into the trip I happened to say the wrong thing ( she wanted something and all I said can we wait a while just to make sure I had anought money ) Ll hell broke loose I want divorce this was on a Friday,

Divorced on the Monday,no cost to me now she works the bar so my question is why does a girl give up 10,000 baht per month every month 17,000 baht per year to keep her daughter in school nothing to pay when I come to Thailand don't sound a lot but I do not earn big money as she knew, to try and f*^k as many farangs as she can but at the moment it is very quite so she doesn't get bar fined very often I cannot understand Thai logic all comments welcome

I don't think I have explained it very well I am only going to the border the rest of the time will be in Thailand what I am looking for is the price of the visa any bribes needed that sort of thing??

Having just bought a motor bike ( PCX ) I had no problem my proof of address was the resort I am stopping in receipt for paying water or deposit went to immigration. Jomtien showed him the proof and passport p,us 2 photos and I think I had to give them 200 baht picked it up the next day bike was mine all but the green book I got that a week later no problem at all the visa I am on is a multi entry hope this helps

Hi I have to do a visa run to hopefully get my next 90 days so am looking at going to Cambodia,so me and my mate are going to make a road trip out of it 3 or 4 days on the pcx owt for a laugh.

We are heading for kohlong yai I think that is the place? Would any one on here know how much it would cost for visa? And what the procedure is when I get there I am on a multy entry marriage visa the 90 days runs out on the 8 February, I fly home on the 27th February so need at least 20 more days.

Any information would be most welcome, thanks in advance

Since you are divorced you will have to leave the coutry and make a new entry. You cannot get more than an extra 7 days on your current entry, which is not enough.

(Unless you are over 50, than you might have another option).

I have a one year multi visa, I am in Thailand for 4 months the first 90 days runs out on the 8 February.

My question is do I need to go out of the country on a visa run? Or can I go to imigration and get an extension ?i am due to leave for the uk on the 27th February so would like the easy option.

The visa is an o visa marriage also would it make Any difference that we Are now divorced (that's anougher story ) any answers would be most grateful thanks in advance

where do you live in thailand ? you can goto :

laos 35$ to enter,

cambodia 20-25$ to enter,

burma 10$ or 500 baht to enter,

malaysia free to enter.

either do a land crossing or flying in, just remember to write your visa number on the arrival card and make sure you get a 90 day stamp .

as mentioned you can leave thailand for several days or just 5 mins upto you.

you may also want to look into your future border runs and work out what days they fall on,

what are you going to do when the year runs out ? extend ?

i think you can get 15 months from a 1 year visa if you do another border run just before it expires but if your going to extend in the future and stay in thailand long term you need to find out the best way to do it.

Come to Thailand for 4 month stay came on marriage visa 1 year so am looking at going to Laos for a couple of days when I come back into Thailand do I get my next 90 days

In other words is Laos a good visa run oh should have said my 90 days run out on the 8th feb not due to go back home till 27th feb so don't want the over stay fine

If anything ever happened to the old dear indoors, than there is no way I would consider marrying again.

I would want a lady who wants to be with me, because I’m me, not someone who would be on offer to the highest bidders and these days it appears to be business first and pleasure afterwards.

I think these guys are either crazy or desperate, but it`s their lives and good luck to all who sail in her.

I have just done the divorce thing something I did not want all down to money and status on her behalf but I went along with it because she would not change her mind we have no assets in Thailand so different to you but the proses is quite simple we argue about money Friday I get condo Friday we get divorced Monday how my wife could make up her mind so quick is something I can't get my head round we had been together for 4 years money sent every month I have heard of farangs just walking away from it all I believe in uk law you can get 49 per cent if it was register in uk mine wasn't so I could just walk away good luck on it
