LTR visa funny fact:

for a global wealthy citizen application $500,000 investment must be made in Thailand. Last year I made a 23,000,000 Thai baht investment in a condo and put the chanote in my name and my Thai wife’s name. The man at BOI said it would only count as if I made an 11.5 million investment because half the condo is in my wife’s name also. I sent the 23 million cash from my overseas bank account. 

The man at BOI said I could qualify if I take my wife’s name off the chanote. How stupid is that and how is that good for Thailand???

I have a two year old passport that has never been out of the country but have done numerous 90 day reports with immigration successfully. They know my passport number.

Yes, unprofessional fiasco by Bumrungrad on this. They also contacted me to sign up for vaccine since I am a regular patient there. They said they would notify me when the vaccine was available. I waiting like a dummy to be contacted…. I screwed up; I trusted Bumrungrad to do what they said they would do.
 

They never bothered to notify my. I saw the Bangkok Post article that Bumrungrad was booking the vaccine today. So, I played around with the website and got disconnected over and over and then unable to log into the Microsoft box. Wasted 3 hours and super frustrating. 
 

Samtivej sent me an SMS last week saying that they will send me a link to book how many vaccines I want for me and my family but no link has been sent yet. Bumrungrad should have sent a link to book the vaccine instead of pumping up this wild orgy style website crashing fiasco. 

I waited in the online que three times and got disconnected 3 times when it got to 2-3 minutes wait. Has anyone gotten through and actually registered and paid a deposit for Moderna on the Bumrungrad website?

i tried to make an appointment early this morning and like everyone else all the dates were greyed out. 
 

But i just went back (5PM) and there were dates available in Late June. So I tried them for astra zeneca. That failed. No astra on those dates. Then I tried Sinovac and it worked. i have an appointment though it says wait for email confirmation. 
 

everyone should go back and login and update your appointment time. There are slots avilailable in June.

They do not have 100 OZ silver bars. Gold shops including Hua Heng Seng do not stock silver. So strange to me. I have bought a few morgan silver dollars at chatuchak weekend market but no way would they ever have silver bars. 
 

i don’t understand the reluctance of Thais to understand silver as an investment. A long  time ago Thailand used to issue silver coins. But it is almost like silver investment bars are not available here...

Please can anyone tell me where to buy these? I know they will be difficult to resell in Thailand later,  but I still just want to buy some now. I know I have the silver bug and am already loaded with silver etfs but want some physical. Wallstreetsilver etc. I thought that there was some bullion dealer who had stuff like this somewhere near silom with a vault but now can not find it. thailand is difficult for silver and I do not understand why.....

One other thing that I have found to be true over the years of doing weekly injections in the thigh is that less is more with testosterone. 
 

the enthanate ampules available in Thailand are 250mg. For many men the suggested dosage is 100mg/week for TRT.

But there is always the temptation to do 125mg/week as otherwise you would prepare two syringes of 100mg. each and then throw away 50mg of leftover testosterone.
 

But for me going up to 125mg/week inevitably leads to higher hemocrit blood test result (can be dangerous) and higher estrogen (which means adding Arimidex)

everything works better and I feel better at 100mg/week or even 100mg. every 8-9 days. 
 

Hope this helps someone as I feel we are on our own here in Thailand doing TRT. I have never found a Thai endocrinologist knowledgeable or helpful for TRT. 

Onemorefarang, wow i am amazed that you could come up with that recommendation. That is exactly what I was looking for! But it looks like I have to wait a few months to go to see them due to covid. Or maybe not. And maybe it can be shipped to them. I will talk to them and talk to him. And try and set it up.

No, unfortunately, every painting from the last 15 years or so was on that phone. I am not a tech guy. It was an android and not apple.
 

Lots of great paintings from Thailand and Chinatown. Lost. I will ask him about logging in to google to check if google saved some of them. 
 

but I wanted to ask if anyone knows of a place where you can take the memory card of the  cell phone(i am stupid and do not even know if they are called this)to look at it and see what is on it like at the government computer crimes lab would do? I understand that it is a big job but do not know where to start..

I have known and have been buying some paintings from an artist at Chatuchak weekend market for 15 years now. The last 4-5 years he could never sell me any new paintings because he always pre-sold them in Paris and Australia for big money. But since Covid happened I have got a few and talked to him about his older paitings from 10 years ago that I remember and the memories of are still stuck in my brain. They were so great!
 

So, he told me that he saved all his paintings for the last 15 or 20 years on his phone. But his phone crashed and he took it to some IT people and they said that nothing could be recovered. He is obviously devastated  by this. he is not a tech guy and trusted his phone memory. 
 

But I do not believe that the photos can not be recovered. . If the CIA or FBI had this cellphone they would know a way to recover the photos for sure. 
 

So can anyone help to guide me as to where to take this phone to get back those photos. I have actually been thinking of taking the phone to the government computer crimes lab and begging for help but think there must be a better way. I just do not know how to do this. And also I want these photos in order to preserve them in book form. Money is absolutely no object but I do not know where or how to start. Can anyone out there help me on the path to recovering these photos. thanks so much, roger

Some Thai person I know called BOI for me and asked about this and heard it was going to happen soon (this was a month ago). But I think the political situation has put a halt to rolling out any new program of almost any kind.  
 

also agree that it is likely to be a minimum of 10 million baht (hopefully not more). It would be great if it was less but we will just have to wait and see. I do a google search on this every day so I really want it badly. But I have resigned myself to accepting that if it does happen it might not be rolled out until next year or until the politics stabilize. 

@Dart12 I meant the small pharmacy about 50 meters from the police box at the intersection of Sukhumvit and Soi 4 which is the soi that Nana Plaza is on. 
 

i see they the same Bayer Pakistan ampules in small boxes of 3 ampules are available online at the link that Hummin posted above for 690 baht.
 

Those are the same ones I use and now that you mention it, yes I think the Bayer does leave you with a little more boost in your step the day after injection than Rotexmedica but that is subjective and not very scientific.

You can get Bayer enthanate ampules at the little pharmacy on sukhumvit near the police box at soi 4. BUT these are from Bayer Pakistan not Bayer Germany and are a little different looking. Brown ampules that you need to score with an ampule opener/cutter (which I bought on ebay) . But I have used these for over one year and the testosterone is exactly the same as Bayer germany. I looked it up online and is a legit subsidiary in Pakastan. They come in a box of 3 ampules and are not expensive.

I would like to ask about 8 pages of background information on you to make the application. Are they looking for names and references in Thailand or my home country? Are they going to come and ask questions of my condo building manager here in Thailand? 
 

Is is just a regular police background check in my home country showing never convicted of any crime? Or would have a person have to explain something such as why they were arrested briefly 30 years ago as a college student for appearing drunk but never convicted of anything for example.
 

do they ask health questions and could they require health insurance because of the answers?
