I just show a Thai bank book with 400K+ in there and a letter from the bank stating the amount in my account, dated 2 days before I visit immigration. Than on the day I visit immigration I transfer 100 baht from another account into my 400K account and update the bank book. I make a photo copy of the updated book and they never asked where the money originated from

Only at 1 or 2 rogue offices that wanted it in the bank for 2 months since the were using the old rules for retirement extensions.
Not sure they are still doing that or not since it is now since is now 2 months for them as well.
Thanks!

For my "O" extension I've had 400K in the bank 3 months in advance for years because I was told some immigration officers don't accept the 2 months. Did anyone had a problem with holding it only 2 months in Bank?

To: OP. Yes you can make the deposit of money in Thailand. They do not interest themself about where the money comes from as it is right now.Hwe probably meant to make sure the balance doesn't drop below 400K, perhaps by some deduction for using ATM card etc

Great! I have the same problem and I also moved to AIS a while ago and haven't used torrent for a while. Question: did the service technician actually came over or was it handled over the phone?

The disk brake (only front unfortunately) looks different/bigger on the ABS version too.
I was wondering how to see the difference between ABS and conventional. Is it like millimeters or clearly visible?

The Grand Filano Hybrid is available in an ABS version for 62000฿.
The QBIX is available an ABS version for 60400฿.
Both of those bikes have rather large under seat storage areas.
Thanks, I tried the Grand Filano at a shop but it only fits one of those half open helmets. Will check the QBix though!

Looking for a scooter type motorcycle with ABS and a full face helmet storage. After visiting some shops and some online I can only come up with Nmax or Aerox. Is that all? or I'm I not looking correctly?
I Found the Yamaha Lexi ABS but it looks like a full helmet doesn't fit in. Because of the price I think 155 cc is the size max. Hope you guys could give some ideas.

It s possible to be a guarantor on a loan to your wife.
We had a mortgage and my wife was a housewife looking after the kidsvso no salaried income. They lent to her guaranteed by me based on my income. I did have a work permit and work in Thailand though.
Different banks have different credit approvals and underwriting standards but it should be possible even if your income is from overseas to be a guarantor.
Thai banks do have their own internal scorecards for lending which they will use to assess your application. They wont tell you what score you get. However if turned down you arr entitled to know why.
They ll be interested in things like your wife s history with the bank, your wife s general credit history they can access from the national credit bureau NCB, her income, expenditure etc. They will look at key ratios like DSI debt service to income ratio.
Depending on all that they will consider whether they want you as a guarantor and will take your financial situation into consideration.
So there s no clear cut yes or no you can see beforehand if your wife is a little short on meeting requirements. You ll only get your answer from the banks you approach. It s possible though.
Cheers
Fletch
May I ask you which bank that was?

Just opened the site using this URL. https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online/online/tm47/TM47Action.do
I got a new passport in December 2017 and did a 90 day reporting at Chaengwattana in January 2018. but I just got the same message: contact immigration.
Any idea what the problem could be?

You can apply for an appointment online to get the re-entry permit at Chaeng Wattana immigration. You still have to get the re-entry permit stamped in you passport there.
Link to do the application. https://extranet.immigration.go.th/qrepsonline/online/queue/REPSAction.do?cmd=term
You can also get it at either airport in Bangkok on departure from the country.
Thanks Joe but this site stopped working a long time ago. It still says : For further information regarding Re-Entry service, please contact the Immigration Branch Office in your residence area.

Is this online option still working? or can I only get it at Chaeng Wattana? (besides airports)

Do you know if the Swiss Sheep Farm is also a double/triple pricing trick for foreigners?

Looks like a nice place to take my daughter.
Is this a dual pricing place? Meaning double price for foreign nationals.

If in Bangkok you need nothing more than your passport and the receipt for you last report.
You can do your report at Chaeng Wattana or the offices at Imperial World Ladprao or Big C Big C on Ratburana Rd
Are you sure it's Big C on Ratburana Road? And not Major Hollywood onSuksawat Road.

Looks like Kerry is a huge DISORGANIZED company.
I ordered the item on June 30 and it was dispatched on July 2 and received tracking number and picture of the package.
Since July 4 it shows as being at the Shenzen international hub on a particular Kerry express tracking site, but it doesn't show at all on the Main Kerry Express tracking site. Anyway the package hasn't moved since July 4.
I contacted Kerry Express Thailand by phone and they don't find any trace of the tracking number, in short it isn't in their system, but it shows on one of their websites as being motionless in Shenzen.
I send them an email through their website, but the email keeps bouncing with the message the mail box is full and can not accept anymore messages.
The latter says a lot about the amount of complaints they receive in my opinion.
Useless company. Tracking doesn't work, by the time it's updated you already have the package. They always call to ask where they have to deliver the package. I always refer to the condo name and address on the parcel and the answer is always that the parcel is in the back of the truck and they don't want to take it out. They just have a list with a street name and a phone number. It's on a main 6 lane road in Bangkok so it's really easy to find. I prefer them to just drop it of at our reception. I had a package with food from phuket to bangkok floating around their system for a week before they send it back. according to the tracking system they called me 3 times and I didn't pick up but the sender forgot to write down my phone number so the actually never called. Useless company

Hi, I'm looking for pond liner as well. I need 2x5meters but home pro only sells 2x3 m pieces. Did you manage to get any in BKK?
-
Sorry if I placed it in the wrong way. I thought work permit issues and question have to be under Thai visas, residency and work permits.
Thanks for your answer Mario! My visa is not linked in any way to the WP.
I just need to be 100% sure I don't miss a single day without valid WP.
-
I want to change employer but I can't be a single day without a valid work permit.
My first thought was to apply for a 2nd book but I read in previous posts that if I remain within the same province this is not possible.
And that I can only add my new job to my current work permit if I get approval from current employer.
My current work permit can be cancelled on the day the new work permit becomes valid as long as I don't miss a single day with a valid work permit.
I was advised by colleagues not to inform my current employer that I'm planning to change jobs before the new permit is ready because the owner can be very vindictive and can show very irrational behavior.
Any idea how to handle this?

Don't forget the trainloads of plastic rubbish they buy for monks to receive blessings they need for 'good luck', and the huge pollution caused once a year by kratongs carrying plastic flowers and shit that end up in all the rivers.
A true Buddhist does not pollute the earth.
Our condo on the chaopraya river provides krathongs for all residents but it's made of coconut shells, leaves and flowers. I did notice a few staples being used to hold it together, no plastic though.

I know its a pain but just come and get one in pattaya then your done.
The seller has an ED visa, if he went to Pattaya what else would he need to bring?
-
I remember there was a calculator in Excel format available on TV but this was for the old rates. Does anyone know if there is a new one available? meaning for the new rates.
-
Probably depends on a place where one obtains RC.They absolutely have a pupose in pattaya immigration. Buying, selling and drivers license.
I went to immigration in BBK and was told to go to my embassy as they couldn't provide me RC because I don't do 90 days reports. My (Canadian) embassy asked me what I need the RC for (vehicle purchase) and gave me the appropriate document stating it was for the vehicle purchase. While at the embassy, I met another Canadian who needed RC for DL and his document said it was fit the DL.
Thanks for all the replies!
The seller is facing the same problem. Chaeng wattana Immigration doesn't provide RC because of the 90 days reporting. Department of transport request a RC for selling the bike. My secretary explained the situation but they say it's not their problem. The German embassy won't give an RC because he's still registered in Germany. The old RC the seller obtained before at Chaeng Wattana when he still had a work permit stated clearly for what purpose it was issued. I will try and see if a bike shop can help with this else it's going to be a never ending story. I will share the way to do it once it worked out. In the mean time if someone has any more ideas or experiences please share as well.

I remember for the resident (WP etc) foreigners they can buy a ticket at the big office behind the first gate and get a middle price of 200 baht. Thais are 150 and tourist are 250. Strangely Thais have to pay for a car @ 80 baht but the resident price has a vehicle included. So It was even cheaper.
