If Martial Law was a good thing, UN and other Countries wouldnt be expressing concern, and everyone would do.it.
Its a last resort, and takes away MANY personal freedoms.
Its hardly ever looked upon as a good thing.

I dont mean to confuse matters with a bit of common sense...but if russians, koreans, and vietnamese are the ones mainly targetted for border bounces and taking advantage of the system, WHY NOT JUST REMOVE THESE COUNTRIES FROM VISA EXEMPT LIST, and make them require Visa on Arrival or in advance?
I know alot of people from other Countries have long taken advantage of border bounces to remain here, but if these countries are the target, why not narrow in a bit.
It seems russian market especially overwhelms regions...like epiphytes....cling on but provide little benefit, and suck the Life out of hosts.

Inside-job OR NOT...hes played a part of it, and of course want all involved caught, but first and foremost the farang clown commiting crimes in Thailand/Abroad.
-
Bombs, beheadings, Teachers being killed in the South...but this is whatbthey want to focus on.
If u gotvrid of the political colour clowns shooting each other in BKK, it would go back to being a relatively safe City.

Maybe hygiene, but also, theres alot of 'free money' mafe from people who lose, or dont use the full value of cards (and dont redeem fpr refund).
Its like gift certificates and gift cards...HUGE money-makers, cuz full redemption %age is not usually 100%.

Ahhh...they're going for the stricter standards option.
?.
Shouldn't there just be 1 option of standards? Safe or not Safe.
Are there levels?
1. Super Strictly Safe.
2. Safe-ish.
3. Bit Risky.
4. Rolling the Dice.
Come on...it should be pass/fail, to an International standard.

...possibly due by an increase in DEPARTURES, as many people & tourists here grew tired of the continuing protests and new elections and closures due to elections and fighting/arguing/grenading.

They're fairly useless...at least some of the staff. I applied and the counter lady looked at my passport, saw i once did an extension in Pattaya, then mumbled some trash to her other staff, and said 'i think its better if u just go and get a stamp on arrival.'. No reason to deny a 60-day but for her own opinion.

...and in the same/other news, TAT will report that Tourism is booming. Realistically, the protests and marches wont end until all of the millions of tshirts and whistles are sold...waaaaay too many of those left.

"Welcome to Thailand...will u be choosing to cancel ur trip to Thailand, granted you are already here, due to the the protests?" Come on!!! Even the people asking these questions must know what a useless question that is.
Why dont they ask tour/ticket agents in HKG and China and abroad how many cancellations there were, and how brisk sales are?!

Seems a bit sad that now first time entry from Cambodia at PoiPet only getting 7, when itd seem they should legitimally be getting 15 or 30. Not nice for those touring SE Asia, starting in Cambodia thru heading Thailand, expecting they'd get 15/30 days.
