  1. Hi everyone,

    I'm using True Online at the moment and can't work with it. The service is way too unreliable. Every day I have many interruptions, some just a few seconds, some up to an hour.

    The service is ok for people, who want to download movies, speed is actually quite good at 13 Mb, or chat with their friends. Any professional can't use it. I'm doing online investment and I stopped working for the time being.

    Is there a reliable connection in Thailand? Are there any areas, where you get a better service? I have to move house now, in my condo there are only True and Tot allowed, both completely unacceptable. I like the north of Thailand, how about the internet over there? Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai or even in the countryside.

    My experiences after 6.5 years in Thailand: True Online 5 months now in Nonthaburi and another time for 6 months back in 2010 in Bangkok, as described, very unreliable. They did only improve their speed. This week they sent 2 technicians already, to "solve" the problem in my studio, but of course it was the same story after they left and of course the real problem lies in their home, not here. Saw in another forum someone, who didn't get his deposit back for the True Vision stuff, just a check for future services. After cancelling my internet service with them, I didn't even received the check! Call it what you want, in my book that is clearly theft.

    Tot: due to village/condo policy I was forced into their service for 2 years, one in Najomtien, one in Naklua. Exactly the same as True, just a bit slower. Nice story, after leaving Naklua, moving to Nonthaburi I didn't cancel the service, assuming it was also for one year, just like the condo contract. After 4 months I got a textmessage, telling me that I owe 2400 Baht to the company. I apologized, explained my wrong doing, but didn't pay. After being 2 weeks late with the only company I can recommend, 3BB, they cut the line and I had to order a technician to reconnect after paying my bill. Poor Tot didn't realize I was gone and kept the service going for 4 months. Lol. Sorry for not buying it, I say they know exactly how many minutes or even seconds I'm online every day and I bet they also know the websites I visit.

    3BB: in one year in Nonthaburi only one problem, which turned out to be a hardware problem outside the condo, was fixed by a group of 6 technicians very quickly after calling their hotline. Service was reliable. Pity they aren't allowed in so many Condos.
