  1. I know there are numerous threads about this...

Trying to do the online report the system stops around the end of the 1st personal data page with the remark: PERMIT DATE OF YOUR PASSPORT MUST NOT OVERSTAY...

However I am only on the 135th day after the last retirement extension of 360 days ending in Jan 2023.

Any suggestions ecxept imm. visit or mail? Thanks.

  2. OP here.

After request they sent me this magic 13-digit vac-thingy yesterday on my phone.

Joy lasted but for some minutes though as the number wasn't accepted during the Mor Phrom registering process.

Seems that at present they are in an "improvement" stage of the Digital Health Pass procedure anyway, as mentioned on a Line-chat from them yesterday.

Let's grant them more time to untangle this.

    Thanks for your replies.

    Stay healthy.

  3. Have you been vaccinated at the main hospital in Ubon at 26.8. and 10.9. with Pfizer like me?

If so, have you received the 13-digit vaccination Identification number which is needed to register with the Mor Phrom application in order to get the Digital Health Pass?

Neither at the registration procedure nor at the occasion of the 2 jabs have I been handed out this essential number.

Anyone here with the same experience?

    Thank you!

  4. I have registered with 5 different vaccine programs, including expatvac ("registration successful" on 2nd August).

Haven't heard anything from anybody since.

I'm outside of Ubon and 76.

Painfully reminded about the gap existing between my actual host country and the 1st world country I'm coming from.

  5. Hi there

I wonder whether somebody could help me with this please.

Device: Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier Pro

Router: ZTE F660 (provided from TOT for Fiber)

    Phone: Samsung Galaxy A71

When the app tries to connect the device to the network, there appears the following message:

BRING DEVICE CLOSER TO ROUTER (which doesn't help).

    And yes, I

-set the location to Mainland China

-made a reset of the device

    And I checked that

    -the WIFI Pw is correct

-the router is connected to the internet

-the phone is connected to the network

.the WIFI (router) is a 2,4 GHz network

    What else could I do?

Changing router to one from Xiaomi?

    Thanks for your time!

    Alfred

I congratulate you on your performance !

I suppose that you really appreciated the comfort of your blue sofa once you'd gotten home again????!

What about traffic safety during these 8 days?

But of course you are free to pay more money for a product that will need regular maintenance to perform well. ????

The better arguments are undoubtedly on your side, so I will follow your advice, hoping that possible rodents strewing about won't come to the idea of building their nests in the middle of the glasswool-layers.

Many thanks for your sound and unpretentious help on this forum.????

It very much depends on where you put it as to its effectiveness, on a horizontal surface you often get dust which drops it usefulness quickly. Also it can't do anything for connected, physics 101.

Dust will reduce it effect much more quickly than the fibreglass. Fibreglass will also reduce sound transmission by much more.

Thank you for your valuable input.

Given the robust surface structure of the aforementioned reflective foil brand it should be possible to dust it periodically if at all necessary in a green environment like ours.

If your timetable does allow it, would you mind to enlighten me briefly as regards your expression "connected, physics 101"? ????

  9. HomePro yesterday tried to convince me acquiring the Polynum Reflective foil

    http://www.polynum-insulation.com/index.php?page_id=216

for on-the-ceiling insulation instead of the

SCG Chang Glasswool insulation https://www.homepro.co.th/homePro/en/Construction-Insulation-Fiberglass-Insulation/CHANG-0-6X4M-PREMIUM-6"-GLASS-WOOL-INSULATION/p/213896 .

At a comparable Rt-value (for example 38 v. 39) the Polynum is roughly 10% more expensive, however thanks to a robust structure of the material should have a longer lifespan (warranty 7 years) than the glasswool which only has a fragile protection around it.

I understand that reflective foil insulation is usually applied either just under the roof or for insulating walls.

Are there any members who have used the Polynum for insulating the ceiling and with what results?

Any input highly appreciated. Thank you.

I retrofit one of these a few years back on my roof (non powered). Doesn't stop the need for fans but definitely reduced the temp inside the house. When the guy cut the hole in the roof, the heat coming out nearly burnt his eyebrows. You also need to fit vents in the soffits to replace the air escaping.

Just took this video of it whirling around nicely and there is hardly a breeze here at the moment.

If I may ask: Where in Thailand did you let install the whirly on this corrugated iron roof and could you tell us the name of the performing builder/company? Thank you!

  11. Hi there

Living in the boonies, no chance of finding a bookshop selling English titles by far and wide.Interested in paperbacks, novels and thrillers.

Any recommendations as to the most reliable online shopping address offering a vast choice of titles? No kindles.

    Hungry of new suspence☺.

    Thank you!

  12. Got my 1-year DL last week with only the tabien baan as proof of address, so no hassle with certificate of residence. Besides brought D/L and Intl. D/L of home-country, medical test, PP with Non-Imm.-O for retirees and departure-card as well as copies of all of above. Had to make only the color blindness test, after 1 hour got my card, on which they made me 3 months younger than I actually am.

  13. All's well that ends well. I'm the proud owner of a brand new yellow house book now which served as proof of address needed for registering the new car in my name. G/f's role was crucial in the whole process as Puuyabaan is a uncle of hers and lady in charge at Amphoe one of her best friends :-)

Wishing all a successful day too and thanks again!

  14. Hi everyone

I'm again on a non-immigr.O for retirees, applying for 1 year extension of stay in due time. Want to buy a new car in my name, went to immigration with gf in order to get necessary residence certificate. lady there didn't comply with my request saying that I can't buy a car now, because I haven't stayed in the kingdom for the minimum of 1 year needed to be entitled to own a car. Her suggestion: buy the car in the name of gf now and transfer ownership to me later. nowhere I've read of this 1 year-waiting period.

Correct information received from immigration or not?

What were your experiences in this regard?

    Many thanks in advance!

  15. Thanks a lot UbonJoe. With your tip of Savannaket you've given me back some peace of mind...

I've seen that it should be possible there to ask for a double tourist visa entry (2x60+30) which should concede me enough time prior to my next flight home in March.

Anyway, as regards the missing document... I've not given up all the hope yet...

    I'll keep you updated later.

By the way I'm widowed and not planning to marry again at 68 :-)

  16. @Suradit69

Thanks, didn't think of UPS etc. The document is on the way now since 3 weeks from Switzerland to a Ban at the outskirts of Ubon. Unfortunately the Issuing Office isn't cooperative at all as regards a direct fax or email to the embassy.

    @Ubonjoe

Thanks, you're always ready to help (True Vision has been rapidly installed to my full satisfaction).

What options for a new visa do I have now? In case must I do a "border run"? Do you know a suitable place to go from Ubon?

    Sorry for my ignorance.
