Went to Immigration in Chiang Mai to report returning from overseas. They had my address as a hotel in Chiang Mai, where I had stayed 1 night.
I was told I must report each time I stay away overnight . I assume that means as a registered guest. No fine this time.

I still hold my JP Commission from Australia but was advised by an Australian Consular official that "legally"you cannot utilise outside of Australia
I have contacted the Embassy in Bangkok and have had it confirmed, also have been contacted by the Honorary Consul here in Chiang Mai with referrals.

I am an Australian J.P. living in Chiang Mai and am happy to witness documents, Stat. Decs. etc. J.P.s cannot charge for their services, it is a community service.
P.M. me if needed but I do travel a lot.
Cheers

Credit where it's due, so a pat on the back to CM Immigration.
Yesterday I arrived at 0730, no queues outside, all very orderly.
I needed to do a TM 30 checkin, a Retirement extension and a Re entry permit.
Queue numbers were being given out at 0730 and I had completed all 3 activities by 0900.
All very efficient with smiling staff and relaxed clients.
Thank you Chiang Mai Immigration staff.
