Well, out of nine no one was injured (a success in my book.) One table was irrevocably damaged but I don't remember if we responsible. Total bar tab was around 5,000 bt, but once again my memory is not the most accurate.

I have to add yet that I disagree when you say that women generally get the rights over the children in a divorce, I think that judges tend now to leave the children with the wealthiest side, be it the husband or the wife.

Are you stupid enough not to know that our own attitudes and background will lead us to encounter and get to know more often some kind of people than other kinds ? I read the whole thread pretty carefully, and I couldn't find this hostility that you're pointing at so constantly anywhere as obvious as in YOUR posts. Where is that hostility, really ? Most of the post here tried to point out at positive things, and I was rather surprised the ladies here where so patient and nice in there answers. Hostility, if you still perceived some, was merely in response to your previous hateful posts. Which has nothing to do with feminism, but simply with HUMAN's feeling being hurt. I do admire them, for not responding to your obvious hostility with more strong words. I can understand you had bad experiences before, and met the wrong persons, but you just have no point here.

Which is a statement I could make if I followed your exemple and twisted logic, since noone of my female western friends would date a western guy. BUT, I happen to know that western guys DO get married, and loved, and, for your information, so do western girls. And to others than guys who don't have a choice.

Or, more properly, why didn't you just say what you want, if you're such a "live and let live" kind of guy ? you can want a little, tall, blonde, brune, black, white, yellow, blue or green or whatever pleases you kind of girl, I don't give a ######. Everybody wants to love and be loved, have a healthy relationship, and so on. No one wants to receive hostility from his/her partner. But that has nothing to do with nationality. The sooner you realize this, the better. For you. Western women are as tender, and caring, and gentle, and understanding as eastern ones. Everybody is different, east and west have differences of cultures, but at the end it all comes down to this : we're all humans, we have different ways of expressing ourselves, but love is the same no matter where you're from. Maybe you don't express it in the same ways, maybe you don't see where it is, but hey, it's still there. You just failed to see it.

I can't believe this thread generated soooo many replies Anyway, here is one more : I voted no, I've never been a backpacker my self, but when I think about all the narrow minded people sitting on their a** back home, watching their little TV, and never getting the curiosity to see what the world is like, well, I think BP at least have the will to see something new And they do it. That's already something IMHO.

My futur husband is from China, lives there and I just can't wait for him to join me here . This poll also gave me a chance to know I'm not the only one around here who's soul mate is asian but NOT thai . Cheers

I came across TV 5 days ago, and joined immediately. People here are really nice, funny and interesting, it's certainly the best forum I visited so far.

I moved in BKK 4 months ago, and that was my second visit in Thailand, so I find this forum very useful, and I hope I'll help making it even more so in the futur.

Agree, I think a girls-only-meeting would be easier for those of us that are really "newbie" round here. But won't a "boys not allowed" sign just make it even more appealling for them to join ?

Someone said no farang girl would move to thailand if not for the sex part, sorry I have to disagree, I moved here and it has nothing to do with it. I enjoy a simple and relax way of life, far from the stress of Paris, and I do think that if it's not for the dirty looks some Western/MiddleEast guys give me, boys attitude here toward women is really polite and friendly. Used to be bothered by guys all the time in my country, and I enjoy walking in the streets here in some nice-not-too-sexy outfit here without being called a slut.

Count me in, I would be very interested. I'm not familiar with Bkk, but ThongLo suits me fine !
