  1. 300,000 people claim to having been at the first party.

Just another good idea wrecked coffee1.gif

and the first was'nt on Haadrin beach but ban khai beach
I was living in Samui between 1988 and 1993. Went in koh Pham gnan the first time in 1988. I can't tell when was the first party.. Do you mean the official one..? The very very first one..?

At that time I have been told, parties have always been there. Before techno and house, before the drugs, it was there already. I think it came with the first magic mushroom.

Hadrin beach was a strategic place to do parties cause hidden from Samui; the movie "the beach" refers to Samui as Hadrin in the story, the beach as Hadrin in reality.

In 1988 and before, lucky you to get there without help..

From the syntax in your message here it sounds like you must be having a fairly good ol' time relishing memories of the old times on Samui/Phangngan... it certainly was great to visit those islands in the early 90's. After the airport went in on Samui, Phangnan was still good for a couple of years, but now thoroughly trashed. Now Phangnan a cesspool of disease and Samui a den of misadventure... and Koh Tao is both!
I agree with you. Been there in 1997 then 2004 and I didn't recognized the islands of my young days.

  3. In France, such thing is really not an issue for such characters because it is without consequences. They can't even call the police if only food or drinks are involved.. If they do, police won't come anyway. The biggest risk is for the supermarket or convenience store management cause they have no right to keep any custody of anyone...

This time figures are not the same... Those poor devils should feel the difference !

  4. When number of tourists visiting Thailand will start to decrease, they will start wondering what they have done wrong...

When the whole country, the whole economy, will really start suffering of Thailand ripping off reputation, and I am really talking about the whole thing, not only the tourism industry, I mean the whole figures.. When it will be obviously too late.. Then, maybe (only speculation) they will start to look deeper into the problem, which is not less than the Thai attitude with the non-Thais printed so deep in Thai minds... So normal to suck money off foreigners, so fair to be unfair with them.. So Thai.

The more the monkey goes high in the tree, the more he shows his ass!

  5. I see "No mafia in Pattaya, because we can't decently accept any completion !"

Their way to communicate and to use medias tells the whole story.. Looks like they don't even care being believed by population. Not the point. They advertise to satisfy their own ego... If being ridiculous would be harmful, they would all have past away longtime ago.

Thx to Pattaya police. Once again you made my day!

  6. "No mafia in Pattaya, because we can't decently accept any completion !"

Their way to communicate and to use medias tells the whole story.. Looks like they don't even care if they are believed by population or not. They advertise to masturbate their own ego.. Which is enough finally. If being ridiculous would be harmful they would all have pasted away longtime ago.

  7. Thais don't need to be reported?

    No criminals among Thais?

Pointing foreigners as a source of crime is pathetic and insulting.

Photos and fingerprints (soon come) taken on arrival and departure aren't enough.. Now they need a record of each move!

First they want to keep records of everybody, and soon they will ask us to put a sign on our shirts, or cars...

  8. Without generalizing... It is a fact that culture, religion and society standards are determing in the way women and moreover: kids, employees.., foreigners and even animals are treated.

If all pakistaneses men don't beat their wives, It is a fact that there are more beaten women in Pakistan than in UK, and more in UK than in Sueden!

More generally, to me, the way we treat others reflects our degree of civilization... Within our community, our society, our country...

Keeping silent on these habits under the reason that it is not your business makes you responsible as well!

We are responsable of what we do, also of what we let do.

  9. so much noise for little quantity ? sounds very strange ......

His first mistake was having drugs, second mistake was not having a work permit and third mistake was working in a profession only Thais are allowed.

And his last mistake was being on dope himself, which with the large quantities found on him make the whole story so relevant...
