  1. Does anybody have contacts regarding a rescue service should my big motorbike give the ghost? Too big and heavy to load on a pick-up or put in a rot-deang. My garage that I use for servicing does not provide this kind of service. So wondering what to do should the occasion arise I have an accident or the bike just stops working. Who collects it and bring it to the garage? Ideas? Thanks!

  2. May we be so kind to put it in the forum, instead of passing "private" info? I also am interested in a Dutch teacher and with more children or adults wanting to participate, a small class or whatever might be set up.

  3. I bought my wife a Karcher window cleaner, you clean the windows with

clean water with some vinegar ,and bit washing up liquid, and the Karcher

vacuums the water off for a sparkling clean, streak free window.

She's a bit overworked to come and do yours, but buy yourself a Karcher,

some long ladders, and just do it yourself,or better still get your wife too,

you could always hold the ladder.thumbsup.gif

    regards Worgeordie

Looked at their website and looks great. Where did you buy yours if I may ask?

  4. Went yesterday, Tuesday, at 10 AM in order to renew retirement extension. Was handed No 12 and told to come back at one. At 1 PM No 11 was called and I was seen at 1.30. Was processed and the officer asked what about my 90 days? I told him I would come back for that the next day. However, he would not hear of it and did it there and then, bypassing the queue. Was out before 2 PM. Today picked up passport in the morning, extension and 90 days completed! Highly competent and cheerful officer, a true gentleman, a nice chat about Chiang Mai and our families, all in all an exceptional experience. Credit to him and the Immigration staff!

No need for early line-ups in the dark.

  5. Wow, this is some thread. What is insurance anyway? For me it is just one thing: "peace of mind" That's why one has car insurance (first class) house insurance, and yes health insurance. Cost yes an "arm and a leg" It buys you "that you will never ever will be a burden to your family, relatives or friends" For that I will pay every year and hope every year as well that I do not need to use it. The comfort of knowing that you will be taken care of, not be a drain on the family as well as getting the best treatment if and when, is worth it every time and every Baht.

  6. Which sealant will be better for my 6 year old faded concrete stamped drive?

TAO claims to do 40 square meters per gallon at 514 Baht/gallon.

Bosney, the green one, claims only 20 meters/gallon @ 460 baht per gallon.

Think possibly to get something in the middle, @ 30 square meters per gallon?

  8. I have this tree in my garden. About 6 meters tall. The leaves upper side are green and the bottom side is brown. It produces some kind of brown "apples" rather sweet. Anybody knows the name of it? I thought bit was called "appen tree" in the Thai language. I attach a picture. Thanks, By the way, it is not doing very well, leaves are not as big as they should be and it is not producing many new leaves, branches, etc. Ideas?
