I was in KSR that day and saw many underaged people (like 14 to 17) mostly from international schools drinking vodka-redbull buckets and smoking weed. I'm pretty sure Anutin saw it too since they were everywhere.

I've been partying until 4-5 AM all over Thailand for the last 10 years, what would be the changes ? Don't need to pay the police if you stay open after 2am ?

Looks like this article was written by Chat GPT, translated from Thai to English

Pol. Lt. Col. Bamrung told Panya that it is not illegal to set fire to one’s own property but this must not disturb or trouble the neighbours nor should the blaze spread to their houses.
So while it's not illegal, who will pay for the waste of time and effort of the firemen who came to put off the fire ??

I always stop to let people cross the road at zebras. A few weeks ago while I let a Thai couple cross the road, the car behind me almost hit me and then started to honk because I stopped....

Sister of my wife asked 500k baht to her Thai husband at the time of their wedding. The guy also had to pay for the wedding but most of it was recovered from the guests' donations (300 people).
When it was my turn to get married, the mom of my wife asked for 1M THB, my wife is more educated than her daughter (bachelor from well-known uni and MBA in UK, mostly paid by her family)
After negotiation, I agreed to pay 500K THB and show a total of 1M in cash that would later be given back to me after the wedding. Her mom just wanted to be proud in front of the guests and family to show that the farang husband was able to pay that much.
What I didn't know, is that after a year of being married, her mom sent me back the 500K and also gave us a few rais of rubber trees in the south that generate a monthly income of around 30-45K. Of course, it's all in the name of my wife but we used that asset to negotiate a loan with the bank to buy our house in the suburb of Bangkok. Her mom lives very modestly in her house in the south and I am super happy to take her on holidays with us, inviting her to nice restaurants, trips abroad and I even subscribed for very good health insurance in her name., which I am very happy to pay.
I guess it all depends on the intention of your wife's family. In my case, her mom wanted to make sure I would be able to make her daughter safe and happy and she didn't want us to struggle in life if we had to pay back a dowry.
Regarding her sister's husband, her mom bought them a house in a nice muu baan (after 3 years)

I always read that peple did not want to kill, but they did.. Maybe if they think first before they do they won't kill. It easy to say it was not my intention.... so why did they do than??
I had an accident few years ago with 3 stupid teenagers on a <deleted>ty scooter going wrong way, at night, without headlight. I didn't kill them but they were sent to hospital. Mostly, head injuries (no helmets). I'm glad they were ok after few days but if I had killed them that day, it would have been an accident, it would not have been my intention and would result from their stupidity only.
Btw, Police and family of the kids asked me to pay for hospital treatments and the destroyed scooter. I told them they were in the wrong, called my insurance (first class) and I didn't spend <deleted>.

How does it work if you have a 10k$ wedding ring or a 20k$ Rolex ? do you need to travel with the invoice ?? What about a 5K$ computer, 2k$ pair of shoes etc ??? I don't get it.

I already have a health insurance from France ( April International), and they added on my policy that it covers 100k$ for covid. Will it work or do I have to buy a health insurance in Thailand ?
I live in Thailand but I plan to go back home for Christmas and new year then back to work here.

Could be....
Suggestion wife was having affair with the dead man. She promises him 300,000 naht of he kills him.
Man tells mother he sold some land to cover sudden cash windful....
Swiss man manages to kill the assassin. Police raid house to see if wife has 300k baht ready as payment.
Just maybe....
That doesn't make any sense since the wife said she had been living on the pension of the Swiss guy for years. Why would she gave money to have him killed ? She would end up losing so much in the end.
My guess, if money was involved is that the Thai guy had 300k from selling a house (actually police should check that claim and ask the mom which house he sold and who is the new owner), maybe he used this money for gambling, lost it all, got drunk, got mad and remember there was a farang in the neighborhood that might have some cash with him. Therefore, he would come back home to his mother and not lose face for losing all his money on gambling.

Wow. I have just picked a random hotel from the "Phuket Sandbox Hotels" link above:
The Vijitt Resort Hotel - from 63,000 baht for 14 nights = 4,500 baht per night.
On Agoda and I can book the same place for 14 nights for 23,253 baht (including taxes and service fees).
Not a great deal is it?
The one provided on booking.com at 2,500 is without breakfast, no cancelation and without any possibility to change the booking dates.
They also have the option at 4,500 baht with breakfast and can change edit booking dates if needed. So I guess it's fair

Yesterday in Bangkok I saw a cop riding a scooter without helmet, without mask, without license plate, without mirrors, without tax sticker and one of his blinker was broken....Oh and I forgot to mention he was going the wrong way at an intersection. I wonder what would happen if I had posted a picture online (I'm pretty sure I would be arrested for damaging the image of Thai police).
Moreover, regarding wearing a mask while riding, in my case this is not feasible. I have a tight full face helmet and the mask will slip off whenever I put my helmet on...

Even though the inssurance didn't want to pay because he didn't leave Thailand due to Covid, he was no wearing a helmet. 99% of insurance general condition states that you MUST wear a helmet and have a proper driving licence..
A friend of mine broke his arm on a motorcycle accident, he did have a licence but was not wearing a helmet. Insurance refused to pay him back. Also an investment banker asking for donations from the public makes no sense.

don't know what is worst. A hospital selling masks despite shortage of masks in Thailand or that guy trying to tell the world he did it only to help the poor Chineses people, out of interest.

I do not give salary to my gf and we have been together 7 years now.
We met when we were both students, she was living with her family and me living in a shit 3000 THB room at the time. I got my first job a year later and started with 50k/ month. She got a job few month later and started with 15k.
At that time, we decided to move in together and I was paying the rent and most of the expenses which sounded fair to me.
7 years later we both have a good job, over 100k / month and we share everything 50%.Only time I pay for her would be if i decide to invite her to a nice restaurant or make surprises gifts, exactly the same I would do with a farang girl back home.
Sometimes when we fight, she often tell me "you're lucky to have me, most of thai girls, rich or not would expect the guy to pay for everything"
We plan to get married soon, I know it will be costly for me but still, her family is super comprehensive and don't want a high dowry neither a big wedding and plan to give us lands (at least to her) with rubber trees and banana farms for us to get extra incomes.
Most of my friends here have similar gf / wife and they would just leave them if they had to "pay a salary" or most of the expenses all the time.
I guess it depends on what kind of girl you meet here.- 3

Hi,
I'm leaving to Cambodia for the weekend from Don Muang Airport. I need to take a picture to make a re-entry permit at the airport but I have no idea where.
Do you know any places around Central rama 9 - Esplanade - Sutthisan where I could get an ID picture taken ?
Thanks a lot

"we drank a couple of Chang beers and a little local whiskey"
You should be happy they didn't check your alcohol level or you would have been in serious troubles.
No helmet, no proper licence, wrong way, DUI, no passport.....it could cost as minimum as 20K baht !!

Drunk man’s responsible decision to use tow service sparks discussion

Wouldn't it be cheaper to take a taxi home and come back the next day to pick up your car ? Last time I had to tow my big bike (flat tire at 1am) it cost me 2,500 baht for a 10km drive.
