Thank you for your advice, you'll have forgive my lack of gratitude but I checked back here a couple of days after I requested the advice, but infact in the 11 days between my request on here for information and the answer that I received from you. I did work the problem out myself and the visa was granted. Also I don't come and read TVF everyday and for that I am sorry.

I've flicked you a private message mate

Here is a guide on how  to attach documents to a visa application via the ImmiAccount https://www.border.gov.au/help-text/online-account/Documents/attach_documents.pdf

Just select which category best fits the supporting document you are submitting.

There is also a 60 document limit, and 5MB limit per document.

And for your advice, thanks for taking the time to write. But you're answer is as vague as the immigration website (which I've combed through). I know how to attach a file but my question still stands, as far as attaching what items to what is ridiculously vague as to what people on this forum are telling me to include in my application!

Wow 2 posters in a row that lack the common decency to  say thanks for someone answering their questions.

They can't even muster a like for answering their questions, no wonder the the people with experience and knowledge don't bother any more like the OP David48.

The behavior of posters like this is un-Australian and speaks volumes of sort of people they are, No wonder they have issues with Australian Immigration and applying for visa's

    Sorry mate,

Been up country over the weekend. Literally have only just got back and turned the lappy on.....

  4. Hi folks!,

I'm currently applying for a tourist/visitor visa online for my thai gf. This is her first application and so far the online application has been pretty straight forward and I'm now up to the section where I have to attach the required supporting documents.

list of required attachments are as followed:
    - Travel Document

    - Travel History, evidence of
    - Financial capacity

    - Invitation, evidence of letter/statement - sponser

    - Business ownership

    - Assets - Personal evidence of
    - Birth or Age, Evidence of

    - Form 956A appointment of authorised recipient

my question is, where/or at what point do I add the other supporting documents that will help her application? such as proof of she has kids, proof of our long term relationship (photo's, facebook communication) etc etc..

    cheers

  5. Don't go by what's considered normal here mate. What's considered normal here are the 50+ year old TV members who have some 18 year old bargirl slung around there arm....

    1. It is actually more common than you think. I'm in a similar boat to you, and I know of quiet for other guys the same!

    2. Locals will talk about it, but mostly in a positive manner. Any negative opinion is generally spoken out of jealously in the fact that your Mrs has strung a younger dude.

    3. The family shouldn't have a problem with it, you may find the extended family will ask the usual bullshit to your Mrs in regards to how much your worth is!, But that's not exclusive to the situation you or I are in though.

PM me if you got any worries.

  6. G'day ThaiVisa golfers!,

I've been cruising the forums and there wasn't much information on the 9 hole course at AIT in Pathum Thani.

Has any one played it? If so what did you think?

What other courses would any of you recommended that would be 'beginner' and farang friendly?

    Look forward to your responses.

    Cheers

  7. What a very strange comments that people will NOT fly Lion Air because a pilot dies on the flight deck. What does this have to do with Lion Air.

Having said this I am aware off certain short comings in Lion Air but things are improving fast. They are a huge airline now Malindo/Batik/wings/Lion Thai/Lion. They have their own flight school, training center and simulators. Right now Thai Lion is a much safer airline to fly on than Nok Air. Unfortunately I can not get into details here but lets put it nicely; Nok Air is not taking safety serious.

P2F; yes I am aware of this; Ryanair comes to mind and many other airlines in the world... So if a pilot is willing to pay to fly why Lion Air can take those guys too,

LOL sounds like you have vested interest in Lion AIr....

9 serious incidents in only the past 13 years! with 25 recorded fatalities.....

work that one out Captain.. cheesy.gif

  8. I didn't want to start another thread as I'm sure the mod's are tired of all these questions....

Yes I've trawled through the information available but things are as clear as mud, so I'll give give my situation and I'd appreciate any advice...

I'm currently an Australian Passport holder on a 30 day visa exemption. When I received the exemption stamp at swampy airport I was warned by the immigration officer
that I had visited Thailand quiet alot ( A total of 6 visa exemptions entry stamps over the past 2 years).... The warning was duly noted and I will seek the proper visa next time I arrive.

So my question is: My time is almost up hear in LOS, my visa exemption expires on the 18th of Aug but I require an extra 7 days as I have a ticket booked to depart on the 24th of Aug....

Are immigration still doing the normal 7 day extensions? or have the new rules already been enforced?

  9. Last week I swung into the Soi 11 Clinic to get checked for what I though was a bout of chlamydia.

The clinic is rather laxed and so is the Doc (I have brought this up in another thread)....

After an examination and really fast urine test I was Diagnosed with a yeast infection!, symptoms seem to be disappearing and the drugs seem to be working!

I would like piece of mind though and after been given advice on this forum I want to reassure myself and get a full screen at the Thai Red Cross clinic... Can any one tell me the turn around time for the STD screen at the Thai Red Cross... I am aware that the HIV test only takes a few hours but I'm interested in how long it takes to get the results of the other tests?.

    Thanks

  10. I'm going for one tomorow.... I'm going to give the Suk 11 Clinic a try.... can anyone advise where exactly it is???

About 100 meters down Suk. 11 from Sukhumvit, there is a subsoi to the LEFT. Follow that subsoi and the clinic is past several restaurants on the left.. The soi is "U" shaped and returns to soi 11.

The staff there are very offhand and not particularly professional but I was successfully treated there years ago for genital lice and a friend recently for Gonorrhea. They charged him B1500 for a antibiotic shot.

Thanks for the info... and Thanks to Cheryl to...

I did find the clinic and yes your're exactly right, the staff are very offhand and so is the doctor... After discussions with the Doctor, an examination and what seemed like a quick urine test (sorry to get into detail here), he deemed the results to be a yeast infection! Although I'm wary of his findings the medication seems to be working!...

I am thinking of dropping into the Thai Red Cross just to get a second opinion and take make sure 100%!

    Thanks again for the help..

  11. Good luck just turning up at the embassy. I was there in April, just to drop off some papers. Didn't have an appointment - eventually left the papers with the receptionist on the ground floor after a few phone calls to the people upstairs. Sorry we are on lunch...sorry will have to speak to supervisor. There was NO way they would even let me actually see anybody.

From what I understand the only way you can see anyone without an appointment is if you need consular advice. By the way, I didn;t see or speak to even one Aussie while I was there.

It was a truly disappointing experience. Beautiful grounds though and I'm sure the Ambassador and ASIO agents have a great time.

For translations go to the ground floor of the Thai CC building ( same one as VFS) near the railway station about 1K up Sathorn Road. On the ground floor are a couple of certified translators. I think the cost was 750 baht for 3 papers.

I think you mean ASIS, not ASIO...  and ASIS aren't there either, especially when the AFP has an office in Bangkok : ) ... I find most embassy's are pretty shitty at lunch time to!

  12. The Thai Elite card doesn't permit one to work, right? It's a solution to stay long term with no questions asked, but not a solution to work online legally.

You're absolutely spot on..... Yes, the elite card may allow you to stay for 5 years hassle free, but it's still a gamble!, especially if you're working here illegally.... if you pinned 500000THB on staying here for 5 years, you would want some sort of garantee! ....

I guess the people who brag about earning loads doing freelance/contract work in thailand, throwing away 500000THB on a risk of getting caught or having the visa rules changed wouldn't phase them!
