I went to Udon immigration tuesday this week, with the following papers with me:
Pass (Norwegian), and copies of first side and sides with last visa and stamps after that.
Bank book, updatet the day before, and copy of first page.
Bank statement from money coming regulairy inn every month, back to 1e january this year, minimum 65000 bht every time, to thai (kasikorn) bankaccount in my name. Also from day before.
The filled out form to make extension, with recent passphoto glued on it.
My GF came with me with housebook and ID, to confirm i stay with here in "her" house.
I applied at the same time for re-entry permit, with filled out form and passphoto glued on it.
The only thin they did not tell me before, they wanted to see where the money comes from, statement from my guverment pension and record from the payments, also back to 1e january this year. So had to find those files online and got it printed out in the tucom nearby, luckely found someone who knew how to print out from my mobile, never done this before....
came back 2 hours later, they acceptet the papers, and made the extension for me in about 30 min time! they also pointet out that I had to make 90 day report before my planned trip to europe in july, which I had forgotten, thought it was not yet 3 months after last time report yet.... tok me 10 min. to get that done at the same office, amazing service!!
My suprise was they accepted bankstatements from regulary income , and i dit not have to bother to get statement from my Norwegian embassy, something i always needed before when stil stayed in Pattaya area. They stil provide those statements, but its a hassel to get it, and cost 1200 bht each time, and last time at pattaya immigration (3 years ago) they would not accept it whitout a stamp from some office in Bangkok, which I did not want to do, and returned back to Norway in stead...
long story, sorry for my bad english skills, but dont worry to visit Udon Thani immigration, they are friendly, layback and service minded, opposit other places I have been....!
