     Has 12 month warranty from place bought who have stated take to  MG dealership  to repair

on phoning MG Phetchabun and describing problem told a common problem with MG manual gearbox with no solution

this put wife off so did not travel the 70 kilometers to check it out could be like Lasessit said just fobbed her off

one in car in first gear with clutch in one pushing to see if it moves freely

              Problem on Citroen must have taken some finding and the relief when finally discovering the answer

must have made you say blooming heck unbelievable. I hope I can say same  soon, unfortunately not being in Thailand

at the moment I have to rely on wife's observations  and she is in no way mechanically  minded.

  I did observe problem over Skype not ideal I know but sure enough just the art of engaging first gear causes engine to stop 

could not really determine if this was cut out or stall I have asked her to go to a few local garages, some of these lads are good

       Skype was not the issue both my wife and myself do not remain on line 24/7

I call using cheap international call just to make contact at this point we go online and use Skype no issues there.

It,s the phone I use for the cheap call after years of displaying it,s number ( so wife knows it,s me )

Now when I call  a Bangkok number appears, at first wife would not answer ( unknown number )

But now she knows this number now relates to me so we are Ok

Just wondered why after years that  my caller ID number should change to a Bangkok one

        That is what I have done for the last 10 years use cheap phone with dedicated international calls to Thailand 

Just to say OK Skype now end call and we pick up on Skype it has worked well for us.

        Just this last month caller ID shows Bangkok number not mine she now recognizes this number as me calling and answers

Something has obviously changed which has left us a little baffled as to what.

     People have answered on this forum to say they to have had a different number show up in caller ID so not

an isolated or unusual incident.

   Always good on this forum for help and shared experiences, I read every day some people in real need of help

getting excellent advice from genuine people willing to be of assistant.

        I understand wife says such a large increase this last year in scam calls that she is reluctant to answer 

unrecognized numbers

Partly my fault I have drummed into her to be wary always someone wants to put hand in your pocket

This last two weeks I have received three scam calls in UK first in a long while must have entered my number

were I should not have, be careful and safe everyone.

      I have used Lycra mobile for years and its only to make contact then we Skype

unless Lycra have changed its format my number has always appeared in her caller ID

     Called today same thing Bangkok number now put down as me calling

Can anyone help with strange phone number.

Called wife Wednesday Friday and Saturday no answer finally got through later on Saturday

We both have caller ID on our phones and have not changed phones or numbers for years but

for some reason this last week when I phoned her it shows  a completely different number and

because of all the scam phone calls lately she would not answer and was quite shocked when

her curiosity took over and answering the phone at last heard me the number appears to be from Bangkok

and is completely different to mine.

Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone know how this can happen.

     I spent a long time on e-mails and phone calls using the phone numbers and e-mail addresses provided by kind members

passed from pillar to post a lot but today success.

She gets sms tells me otp I enter she receives acknowledgement

    I have logged in for years no problem, Just this last month, I receive OTPs from my other accounts so I don,t think its my phone

  I tried calling 97440230000 not recognized now that will be my fault I will  persevere with that one

I managed to get hold of a UK tech number today 03300240127 ( I think the poor harassed agent gave it me in desperation )

We checked all details and they are correct e-mail, membership number and phone number so he has sent an e-mail to head quarters

The one little quirk I have noticed is my monthly Qatar statements  and updates appear to be coming via a long ago forgotten old email address

not used in years but presumably still active.

Hi All,

        Over the past 2 weeks I have been unable to login to my Qatar Privilege account,( OTP not coming through to phone )

All attempts to contact by phone have turned out negatively even when I do get through wrong depatment or numbers given to contact not recognized,

I have asked that I be given an email address to contact

but been told I must login to do so,  this has left me in a bit of a catch 22 position without OTP cannot login so can not access e-mail

 Can any member please help me out with an appropiate Qatar email address I can use  to solve my situation I am in the UK

Unfourunatly I am not in a rush as it looks to be sometime yet before we can travel freely between UK and Thailand

but I would like to resolve the issue before the rush starts Thank you to all

      I use Firefox always have I just never took to Edge or Chrome. Yes you assume correctly circles in blank spaces

So I just had a go at Edge. Blooming Heck adverts everywhere flashing and popping up all over the place

How do they expect anyone to read the pages with this lot going on sorry but that is Ridiculous

I never had any adverts until a few months back  Goodness knows how people are putting up with this

it would certainly make my time on Thaivisa  miserable.

      Funny about the topics column. I would have bet I used to get a full page no column.

no blocker these things just appeared a few months back do not even appear 

to be advertising anything they are just there blooming nuisance

Like the topices column that has popped up on the right of the page

making every page smaller normally in many programs you can close or hide

columns if not required I dont seem to be able to do anything with the topics column

one day it just was there and thats it.

Do you have these things on your pages

       Mine started last week a popup on every page

sometimes it will close sometimes have to close page and reload, Grrrrrrrr

 Tried unsubscribe. Mail from Thaivisa gang to say unsubscribe  successful

But now cannot subscribe. Just goes to a blank page Tried on both Firefox

my normal browser and Google Chrome

Tried the contact us route and left 2 emails now no reply

   So now I am left without my daily newsletters  surprising how one misses them
