<deleted> hitting the fan as people asking for money back as worried they won't get their order till next year. Who can blame them? The government were slow to order on behalf of private hospitals then said money up front. Many who have ordered have not put their names down for free government jabs.. Can't see people getting their money back now.????

Take what you can get then top up with Moderna or Pfizer at a later date. I was lucky I have had my first Astrazenica injection. I will after my second wait a month at least then have a third injection of a different brand.. The worry now is the African Variant now rife in Yala it seems it can evade Astrazenica to a degree and Sinovac is has very low effacy against it..

It helps to have been Internet banking on your phone. No problem paying bills or sending money to an account here in a Thai bank. My pass code key from the bank stopped working so my phone now,can generate a pass code itself. Big improvement
I bank with HSBC back home so to say and they have not sent a card over here for years. I get it sent over by a third party..

Choose your vaccine carefully.. Oh sorry no real choice as yet. Still worth having Sinovac but get a third jab of a vaccine which has better effacy when you can..

Wrist bands will just not happen. They will be thrown in the bin or left in a taxi as soon as they are given out. I do hope tourists will he told about them before they book a flight. I can see all hell breaking loose when someone tries to put one on a tourist after a LONG haul flight.. Going to make some interesting videos on YouTube.

UK is experiencing a rapid increase in cases and now hospitalizations, heading possibly to yet another wave even though 80% are thought to have antibodies to covid 19, and it uses 3 highly effective vaccines. Sadly it looks like the new normal is going to have to be full vaccination, plus some social distancing. You'd think there must come a time when things return to pre-pandemic normality, but it's a heck of a long way off for Thailand, especially as it has very little natural immunity.

Too many ifs and buts .. Too soon to open.. Better to wait till the whole population of Thailand is vaccinated.

Children can become spreaders by leaving the Island after 7 days. Thailand the only country in the world to vaccinate a holiday island before the elderly and vulnerable ... Money......

As far as I can make out the Sinovac is a traditional dead virus vaccine so you can have any other vaccine afterwards. I intend to have a top up later in the year if I get giving Sinovac at my appointment. I'm happy to pay when local private hospitals get stock..????

Now expect not 10 (recommend amount), not 12 shots per vial of Astracenica but 50!.

100% go for it. Sinovac is a dead virus. Have both jabs then in the Autumn top up in a private hospital with a vaccine if your choice. France now is tested a very similar vaccine and people have high hopes for it..
I will have what I can get as soon as I can.

If the only thing you needed was a flight ,holiday insurance giving visitors a 6 month Visa waiver stamp in entry which could be extended easily then people would come. Plus the proof of vacination. Too many its and buts. Like if there are flights? Can children come who are unvacinated? Will your country of original allow you to come without quarantine on return? Can you stay anywhere on Phuket or has it got to be the package tour?
Can you travel around Thailand after a set period? If/when there is outbreak of Covid on Phuket will there be a lockdown or then will you be stopped from travel around Thailand.. Will normal travel insurance be OK? Will places be staffed on Phuket?
The main question though if you manage to book a flight and fulfill Thailand's requirements for entry will it all be changed the day before you come?

Oct is a dream date for delivery. Australia has ordered millions of doses and they won't get it till th end of 2021. I'd suggest 2022 getting here.

I have an appointment in June. Over 60 and in at risk group.. The appointment is only the first step. Confirmation of the appointment has to be sent to me the day before. I fully expect to be turned down before or when I go..

Typo
I was told I could not give my child a foreign name it had to be Thai when we registered his birth!! After explaining that in a civilized country she would likely end up in court saying that! I then said have you never heard of Jason Young a famous Thai celebrity she backed down.
