I use TOT for 3 years now here in Ban Krut, could upgrade to fiber cable one month ago, but had to pay a share for the new cable (700m), only 100 are free of charge.

Before I had a 10mb download speed contract, usually I got around 8-9, but it was pretty stable and so possible to download movies from Switzerland and to stream recorded things from tv stations and you tube in an acceptable quality, paid 690 Baht/month. The TOT told me, more than 10mb isn't possible with a standard cable.

With the fiber, I get a stable 30mb, pay 1'200 Baht a month. For me, it's fine. With services I was always happy, but had with my wife a helping hand to translate in Thai.

Just recently bought a year abo for GMMZ TV, because it's was for me the only source for Eurosport Asia with wintersports and cycling in Thailand. But I was badly surprised, when I recently saw the message, the they stop to air the channel end of this year.

Did anybody hear, if there's a new provider or does somebody know an alternative? I can't stream direct from Europe in good quality, because my internet connection isn't fast enough here on the countryside.

Got my report yesterday, 4 April - was sent on Jan 9 to Immigration Chaeng Watthana - just short before due the next time 15 April. Had sent them a email 2 weeks before.

The mail came with a stamp of the Lad Phrao Immigration Office.

Today my wife and I went to Lat Phrao for my extension of stay. We arrived there at 10am, official opening is 10.30am, but the ticket counters were already opened.

There was a very long queue down on all the way to the office on the 5th floor of Imperial World Lat Phrao - but, as we soon realized, folks were queueing for the 90 days report. So, don't be shocked and proceed to the ticket counter L passing the queueing people. There, we were friendly greeted and get 3 forms and a ticket.

One of the forms was a statement, that my wife guarantees, that I'm still in Thailand, one to confirm that the THB 400'000 were for 2 month on a Thai bank account and the last one to confirm, that I'll follow the Thai laws - so far the same as last year at Chaeng Watthana.

After filling out and waiting time for about 50min, we were called and they checked my paperwork. This was done - without needing the second copies - within 10min. So, everything seemed to be all right and he clipped the whole paperwork together with the THB 1'900 and gave us a ticket for the counter A5, where they finally check the papers twice more and hand out the stamped passport.

After another 50min waiting time - there were 12 people in the queue - everything was successfully checked and 2 hours after arriving, we left the place.

As another member in the forum wrote, the easiest way driving your on car to get to the Immigration at Imperial World Lat Phrao is to turn left at Lat Phrao Road Soi 83 and than drive up on the 5th floor of the parking.

This is my first post. I'm a Swiss - so please excuse my English - 50, married with a Thai for 2 years and stay in Thailand since the last day of 2011. I came to Thailand with a 90 days Non O Visa and made my first extension of stay based on marriage in march 2012.

On tuesday, march 19, my wife and I went to Chaeng Watthana for my second extension of stay. Well prepared with all (actualized) documents, that were needed the year before, but still a little doubting, after the recent posts here on Thai Visa, we arrived at 10.55am at the ticket counter, got our ticket and sat down. Very surprisingly, there were only 4 in the queue and even more surprisingly, at 11.10am it was already our turn.

After a neither friendly nor unfriendly greeting, the lady took my documents. Beside the passport, she only wanted to have one copie of all, checked it within 20 minutes, then I had to sign a form, that I could be fined or kicked out of LOS, using the Visa for other purposes, than described, e.g. Working, and my wife had to sign another form with about the same content.

Than we were proceeded to her superior, this lady made just a quick check and at 11.40am, it was all done .

Some, maybe, noteworthy facts:

• I have my own (yellow) Tabien Baan (did apply and got it pretty easy last year from the ampher in Klong Samwa, BKK)
• Bankbook: saving account from the Government Savings Bank, with at least THB 410'000 in the last 3 month
• Brought 2 copies of all the documents, she only took 1
• Had the original Kor Ror 2 from the marriage and a new one from the ampher - the lady took the original
• Out of 6 pictures of my wife and me in and in front of our house the lady took 3 (quite impressing, how she glued them on an A4 paper )
