People, I think that you have probably lost/changed priorities living to long in Thailand...

Normal person can't buy condo or car just because of fear that some criminals can target him ??? In this case the best solution is not to live here... it's better than live in fear.

Or maybe this is another good argument to notify higher authorities (if local cops doesn't want to act) about whole situation... Try to report accident to embassy so they can use some influence as this was life threat at the end of the day. Try to make this case more public via social media... make some video with hidden camera etc... They don't really like this kind of stuff and they usually act after that.

If we will just stay and watch and do nothing they won already.

Lately I had accident - policeman's wife hit my car and was really sorry about that. She apologised on the place of accident, gave me her ID, allow to take pictures etc. She promised that she will cover costs of repair etc etc.

Next day at police station she completely changed story and says that this was my fault or at least I was partially guilty of this accident. Police tried to say something that we should sorted things out between ourselves. But then my girlfriend started to shout at this women together with police officers that they don't want to do their job because she have police husband and if they will not act she will go up to authorities in Bangkok. At the same time I started to make video by my phone. Well... it's enough to say that things has changed immediately - they appointed officer to take care about our case, he checked pictures from accident, took our testimonies, went to the accident place with us and at the end decided that the women was 100% guilty and punished her with 1000 THB fine. This was all what we needed... We took copy of police documents about who was guilty and go home

First of all - Merkel is EU !!! She is calling the shots and nobody else there. EU in it's idea supposed to be federation of free countries but Germany are carrying "MittleEuropa" project with out any war. Merkel achieved now what Germany couldn't achieve in 2 wars.

This should enhance their chances of EU membership, exactly the type of country to take up the Brexit slack.

Wonder if Mad Merkel will continue to push for fast tracking the application but I suppose even she will have to wait for the dust to settle and see who the last man standing is.

They call them Mongolian Black Chicken.

Because of quality their meat is highly demanded in Thailand.

My chickens are still young - just reached 6 months... but 3 of the hens starts to give eggs already and they do so every day so far last 14 days

Maybe I will come visit this 'winter'.

The most beautiful I keep and sell - 300 thb per rooster (when they are 5-6 months) and they are people who wants to buy them as they are missing good and beautiful rooster for hatching.

Not long ago I ordered Japanese Silkies and couple who delivered them like so much my RIR's that they took 1 pair for themselves

That's not gonna be easy to buy this amount of RIR's in this age as most farms here keeps Golden Comets for eggs purposes.

People who are hatching chicks for sale (like me) are selling them when they are young - max 1 month old because costs to let them grow next 5-6 months when they don't give eggs yet (so there is no profit at all) is very high.

I sold already some of my young (6 months old) RIRs but always in package (5 hens + 1 rooster) for 300 THB per chicken and this was just always more as favour to the friend or, like last time for example, to the people who delivered Japanese Silkies I ordered from them. I'm not selling many of my young RIRs as I want to make my own blood line to make sure birds are beautiful

For those who are interested I have created social group on Facebook for both Thais and Farangs who are dealing with chickens

There is already 30 people is the group (since yesterday) and most of them are Thais so would be nice if more Farangs would join

We can connect with each other and other chicken keepers, share ideas, talk about problems and advertising chickens/eggs for sale (main reason to create this group).

Out of 10 eggs this hen just yesterday hatched 8 Isban Chickens (7 black, black ish and 1 grey)

And 2 RIR's eggs which I added as I feel that 10 eggs will be little waste of space in the nest

Then visa is only half of the issue, how about wort permits for 5 years as well.

Well... work permit can be extended every year and this would make even sense since they will keep track if people don't change companies, stop working etc.

I use to work on cruise ship mate... not Carvical which Costa was from but different company and I can tell you that Costa Concordia story was nothing like this one.

This was tragedy and 32 people died... Complete disaster and filing of crew and officers on board of this vessel.
