Can somebody please write exactly what the “State of emergency” entails? Before some foreigner does something stupid.

Whatever happened, poor poor boys!!
A reminder to us keyboard-warriors, busy insulting eachother, that life is short and precious.
Guilty as charged, however, we are in a sensitive situation, tempers are short, patience is weaning and sometimes the comments have absolutely no logic, and turn to religion, character, and culture, which in turn lead to insults.

Adds a new dimension to ' bodyguard ' or ' close protection ' more like ' close attention '.
I wonder how many students are being forced to get involved in this thing, my information from some youngsters are, that they have been are told, if they don’t join they will be beaten up.

Where are the police, what the hell are they doing. Once again some want to call this a peaceful protest. They should be a shame of themselves.
Well, if the man has any brains he should invest in a small generator, dont u think? u can get one for about 20,000 or a good second hand one for about 12,000. if his fish are that important to the future of Science. As for the police, they are in a hell of a lot of trouble at the moment.

Good idea, they should also offer it to the drunken farangs also.
Why! Are the drunken ferlangs following the well-known habit of urinating on the walls of your Soi too? Besides that, the so called drunken ferlangs are only zero, point zero, zero of the drunken population of your country, so why pick on the minority?
Furthermore, public drinking is actually encouraged by your existing government, by allowing alcohol to be sold by almost every street vendor that sells his contaminated food on the pavement (sidewalk) in full view of the youngsters going home or going to the shops, so in essence it is if Dada and Momma does it, it must be a good thing, so I can do it too. The same goes for the beatings that your mother gets from your father.

Why didn't the government organise the money for payments BEFORE they called an election? It's not like they didn't know they would need it. A lot of it was due in October.
If they pay the farmers now, so close to Feb 2nd, it would be deemed as vote buying.

Why not ? Pondering is her favourite hobby. Pondering over the latest fashions in Handbags in particular, and of course she's been pondering over how to run the bloody country ever since she got the job !
Bangkok is falling down, falling down, my fair lady. no words can fix it now, fix it now, my fair lady.

"The deaths and the injuried . . . "
Must have a 3-year-old doing the editing.
Oh! Most educated one; have u never heard of Thaiglish before! It is an acceptable form of English here in Thailand. As long as it is understandable, and makes sense.

What a bunch of scum bags these protesters are. And they want to call themselves peaceful protesters. What a bunch of crap.
Yea! you're right about that, I think they may come from the village that u come from too, and were previously R/S's, that still need a bit of re-education.

If the watchman sees the sword come, and does not warn the people
and the sword takes the life of any person, then the person's blood will be on the watchman’s hands.

My dear General, you should know by now the red shirts NEVER take responsibility for anything. It's always someone elses' fault, not theirs'.
Not Too much of the “My Dear”, dear! He could get the wrong impression of u.

About 3,000 farmers from five central and lower northern provinces have blocked the Asian highway in Phichit province on Friday to demand payments of their rice crops from the government.
During the protest, the protesters burned an effigy of caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra accusing her of being insincere to farmers.
Darling of Isaan..... my arse!
Wazza matter with it? is it painful from all the 'Shafting?'

I would think that it would be the ones behind the protests that would be the more likely group to wish to bring this to a head. They are paying a lot of money each day for something for which there is no end in sight.
But the situation is complex and it could be just about anybody.
See what I mean, by the so called peaceful protestors! “Money Talks, Bull Sh*t walks

4 days down 361 days to go, and this is getting boring. Just how will these people pay their depts? If this scenario goes on indefinitely? How are they going to pay their cars, homes, buy basic necessities, send money to their families and most importantly how are they going to pay their Gigs?

I thought the police were not getting invoved in this senario! the last report was that the people were directing trafic and the police were sitting in bars drinking, and playing cards.

Here's a free history lesson for those concerned.
Warlords who failed to pay their private armies always came unstuck eventually. The only thing more dangerous than a woman scorned is a mercenary cheated.
Well, as the old saying goes, No money, No honey.

He then went onto a launderette to have his soiled underwear cleaned.
No apologies accepted from wolves in sheep's clothing.

How could seals get arrested by the keystone cops? Could you even contemplate USA seals getting arrested, hahahahaha. I thought seals were the best of the best?
Yes, we can imagine US seals getting arrested and quaking in their boots. because if they don't have air or ground backup, then they run around like headless chickens, hahahaha

This just looks like a thinly veiled advertorial on behalf of the Thai Hotels Association. Mind you, I feel sorry for them and the staff who have lost their jobs.
If the hotel staff loose their jobs or they get suspended because of this, then there should be a walkout of all the staff members, and they should report this to the Ministry of Labor, furthermore they should sue the hotel for unfair dismissal,

They seriously consider things may get very nasty. Hearing the latest plans from Suthep, they have all the reason to think so. Very sad indeed.
Good idea, stay away until we sort out this Cr*p, then come back to a new and broke country.

Are you sure they are Cambodians? Where ever the mercenaries are from, the big question is, who hired them?
