  1. Funny, anyone who thinks they are better than someone else because of either their breeding or their financial status is just waiting for their pretencious bubble to burst. Unfortunately many do not.

Down to earth is the way to be, realistic and respect for any class, no matter how hoity toity you are.

Here is a little example of how Thais and many Asians in fact think. I was looking at some real estate to purchase, one man told me of a suitable premise and said he would take me to the owner. But he said, you had better not come dressed like that, I had on jeans, a nice shirt and sandals. He said, you had better wear something much classier and wear some gold, do you have a gold watch, chain and some rings you can wear. He said, it does not matter if you do not have one baht in your pocket, as long as you look like you do, then this man will talk to you.

I told him to stick his friend up his arse.

  2. Generally the social climbers can have their equal social standing girl to themselves. What do you get, ugly girls with attitude or cute girls with attitude.

In life we generally want what we either cannot have, or what is on the other side of the fence.

In Australia and other white western countries, we love the tanned golden girls. Everyone wants the body with the golden glow to it.

We come here and they are everywhere and we are happy as pigs in shit.

The asians that look accross the fence, they see the white skin and find that attractive, the opposite to us but same principle.

I have been living here a while and always loved golden skin and black skin. Now having that for so many years, the stupid thing happens and I find myself looking at the whiter skinned asians a lot. Silly really as my preferance is still for the golden colour.

The Thai Isaan thing is simply racist and short sighted, how many dark skin politicians do you see, plenty. How many dark skin people driving mercs, plenty. Yet the bigotry labels a whole race of local thai people lower class. Some of the cutest grils in Thailand come from this area and leave the whiter skin darlings for dead.

Dont forget the reason why Thais find the dark skin so offensive and the white skin so pleasing, simply they believe the dark skin is dirty. look at the way they think of black skin people and indians etc etc.

I find myself liking what I like, I have no time for people who think they are better than everyone else. You can like one thing and not another, but to think you are better because of your skin colour or social standing is ultimately showing that you really have no class to start with.

  3. Her body is great, her face is plain but cute and her hair is horrible.

While I find her nice, there are plenty around that are much much cuter and they can be seen any day of the week in various locations, its hit and miss.

I do find miss Thailand being from Oz and cannot speak thai a bit of a farce. But as with most things in Thai, its all in the appearance and show, the quality and substance behind it does not matter a hoot.

  4. Well Kat, why dont you tell me what my 'type' is, I would love it from your perspective !!!

I was very serious about the ladyboys, its an obvious possibilty for those complaining here about not being able to find the right bra's. Relax baby, if you dont know any or are to shy, I can ask for you and I know some guys with ladyboy friends, so dont be shy.

If it is the Bkk post article that bothers you, complain to them not me. The article made it easy to understand why some farang females are having a hard time sexually here. I said I understand this because i can see it from my side of the fence.

But is it possible you are not getting enough and have to take it out on me ????? My sex life is totally satisfied, would you like some pointers ?????

  5. I have been recently looking and 250 to 350 seems average for blocks of 20 to 30 hours for private lessons.

  6. I am happy to anounce that I am 'just' right.

And why would you want to announce such a thing?

I think that's quite shallow of you to write farang women off wholesale, esepecially considering that no two (out of so many) are exactly alike. And I hope you are still in contact with your mother or any other female family members. :o

Firstly SBK, well I am here because this forum does not seem to be solely centred around farang females...or am I wrong ? I am here because there is great info on Visa' for example and the housing/real estate section as another example. I just happened to pop in and see this section, forgive me if reality hurts or that my personal opinion hurts you also.

Thots... I have no problem in being shallow in your eyes, it is the way I feel and if me stating my truth is a problem then so be it.

As for my mother, no I am not in contact anymore. I do not believe in contacting the spirits. As for other female family members, not really, only one and very infrequently at that.

I thought you would gather from my post that I meant from a romantic/sexual aspect. I do not view any family members from that angle!!!

  7. I believe taxes are down now. I recently purchased land and the sellers paid the taxes, if they added it to the selling price, who cares, that was the asking price and if it included the taxes, we will never know, but usuall the seller pays. Although having said that, thais will try to get away with it if they can and either pass it onto you or negotiate a 50/50 deal.

It is the resposibility of the seller to pay.

I also believe the tax is now 2.5%.

I was also advised by lawyers that there is no capital gains tax, but then again a tax lawyer said there was, so not really sure until I'm sure.

  8. I agree that there is tooooooo big and there is toooooooo small.

I am happy to anounce that I am 'just' right.

As for treating farang females with less respect than thai females, in reality I just dont want to deal with farang females again to ever have to be worried about being disrepectful to them.

  9. Well, I am a simple guy with simple easy likes.

I pre chill my milk in the freezer, put the corines in the bowl. I also pre chill a banana and slice that onto the cornies. Then pour the ice cold milk on, then smother the top with thickened cream so you cannot see a single cornie and lightly sprinkle sugar or pour honey over it.

Then the challenge is to wolf it down before it either warms up or the cornies go soggy.

    Simple really.

  10. DeDan, not sure on UK rights, but they should be similar to Oz rights as far as children born overseas to a UK/Oz citizen.

The child should gain full UK rights simply by having the UK father, is is the case in Oz. Also the mother should bet ###### near full rights being the mother of a UK child. Obviously all the right paperwork and criteria needs to be met, but it is the case again in Oz.

One of my kids was born in Oz, the other here in Thailand. The second child will have full Oz rights once I get her Oz paperwork done.

It is two dozen of one and whatever of the other as to the pros and cons of having the child here. I was going to return to Oz for our second child, but decided to have her here. In the end it all turned out fine, doctors here can be more and or less caring, dependant on the individual doc. It certainly is cheaper here.

The only concerns I have is the emergancy care if there is a proble. Certainly their are all the facilities here, but depending on where you have it depends on the quality of the docs etc.

Also a worry here was the tendancy for docs and even parnets to choose cesarian births. This concerned me and my wife as we did not want this to happen at the whim of a lazy doctor or scedules to keep. I insisted on my wife asking the doc and the hospital all the questions re this.

I made her ask the hospital what our doctors average of cesarian was compared to natural etc and then got her to confirm with the doc as well and then insisted we had a natural birth, except for emergancy of course. All went well.

As for shipping, yes use a door to door agent if you can, regardless of trying to save some bucks to do it yourself. If you try to do yourself, the customs will see you coming and being farang will extort you for whatever they can get.

I have a friend who just moved here from UK and used an agent, if you want the contact details for them let me know. Also try to get your wife to do it as a thai and not as farang goods etc.

  11. Two questions re the 90 day thing if anyone may know the answers I would be appreciative.

A year or 2 ago, many people I knew never ever reported for the 90 day notice and they never got in the shitter for it. One reason I was told is that if you never report for the 90 day thing the first time, they never bother, never know etc and I knew guys who went for years and possibly still are going like this, not reporting.

The other thing was they said that if you did report the first time, then you had to continue with it.

Does anyone know the facts on this, I have my first 90 day report coming up in a week or so and really if you can get away with it, could not be bothered.

Secondly does the actual person have to attend or can you send someone in to do it for you. I also remember employess that used to get staff to do all this immigration stuff for them and they never set foot in the immigration offices themselves.

Just wondering if this is all still possible or have things really tightened up and it simply does not happen anymore.

One thing for sure is I will not be reporting for the 24hr one.

  12. Doc, the problem is as I said I think earlier, we are not married. So it confuses them somewhat.

As t difficult. We have been to the Amphur, twice, we have been to Immigration, twice and it was fruitless and frustrating. Even a couple of professional visa agents and law firms have ######ed up the advice.

ve started this process now, I have a few other things on thet that she is making sure is done inclusive of the fee. So I am comfortable with it now, even though still expensive, it will or should hopefully, get done and be over with

Afterall, the fee is in the end, cheaper than 3 visa runs for me on average.

Once it is complete, couple of months, I will post full details and info on what 'I' did, it may not suit everyone.

  13. That is different from what I have heard.

I had no problem renewing the O in my home country with just the birth certificate, twice.

But the problem seems to come up when you want to do it in another country. I contacted the Singapore embassy, which previously was one of the easiest and closest places to go to get it. They told me they do not issue them anymore to foreigners, in other words they do issue for their nationals, but not outsiders, they told me to go back to my country to renew.

This also seems to be confirmed that in the last 18 to 24 months, we had the immigration crackdowns here, remember things got harder, more expensive. It seemed to be all in response and around the time that individuals were being busted for sending their passporst away for stamping and not actually going themselves. This clampdown seemed to be in a direct response to this.

Now I could go to one of these countires and try it, but it is a risk of not getting it, then having to go somewhere else, or back to my home country, or just re-enter and get a 30 day tourist. A little bit risky of failure and expensive based on all advice and hearsay so far.

Wonder if the Philippines are issuing them

  14. WOW, in good old Aussie lingo "what a root"

Funny, I have been quoted by 2 visa shops here that they can do it no problem. I would like to give them a go, but as is normal in Thailand, I fear the old "sorry sir we cannot" after I have paid the bucks over.

Thanks for your information. I have a Thai lawyer friend looking into it, lets see what she comes up with, I have my doubts though.

  15. If you are talking about a 1 year extension on a non imm o ( 400k Baht in bank) you have to go through the thai legal system and get a court order stating that you are supporting the child. Best to see a Lawyer specialising in family law.

If you want a 1 year multi entry non imm o ( effectively nearly 15 months) where you do a visa run every 90 days this can easily be obtained in Penang by presenting the childs birth certificate showing you as the father.

Cobber, thanks. How current is the Penang info ? I ask because I contacted Singapore and they will not do it at all, in fact told me to go back to australia. The 90 days is no problem, but would prefer the 12 month without leaving for once, what a novelty.

We have contacted a lawyer friend here, so will wait to see what she says. Do you have any idea of the legal cost ? and timeframe to get this document ??

    Thanks.

  16. Does anyone here have any experience with non Imm O visa for support of a thai child.

I have had 2 Imm O visa issued from another country, I do not wish to return to this country now just for a renewal of a visa that is due shortly.

I was told that because I now have a thai child, born in Thailand, I can get this visa issued here. I am not married to the mother, although we have been together for many years.

I was advised to go to the local Amphur for where the child was born and get the document required for this. Well, basically they knew nothing about it and usual i left the building empty handed and unimpressed with things as usual.

Has anyone actually gone through this process as I mention, remember, NOT MARRIED.

Hope someone can shed just a little more light than the thai authorities, just a little, not to much, just enough to get by and get the job done. Thanks.
