Would also depend on what area of BKK they were working.

    What is your guesstimate?"

I wouldn't be amazed if it were under 1,000 baht a day. As far as asking a driver, what do you think the odds are of recieving an honest answer ?

She does not, as of 15 years ago.

"The ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) foreign ministers signed Tuesday an ASEAN Framework Agreement on Visa Exemption to facilitate intra ASEAN travel.

The agreement was signed by foreign ministers from ASEAN's 10 member states, namely Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

The agreement exempts citizens of member countries from visa requirements for a social visit of up to 14 days from the date of entry."

  4. All these questions really have been covered here a thousand times or more. You dont need to search: just read back over a few weeks or months and you will soon get the idea. Also try reading a the websites of a few Thailand-based estate agents, preferably in the area in which you intend buying. Whilst you shouldn't believe everything you read there (far from it) they will give you a good basic idea of the legal requirements.

This reply is UNHELPFUL and obviously NOT TRUE.

I have a Tai friend who just opened a fruit stand near Korat. He had to go to the nearest Highway Police office, which for him, was in Chaiyaphum and get a permit. They told him the rules and regulations, which all seemed sensible, and he set up shop.

As to 'startup capital' an answer to this some what silly question might be that it could cost from 100 baht to a million baht depending...

Pure bluster at its best. You're not up to the job, mate.

Please choose which of the following is more likely:

    A. Too many cops had their hands out

    B. A large old reputable construction company is not 'up to the job' of putting up some very simple structures.

Question for the poster: Have you ever been to Thailand ?

    .

    A

  7. You don't need to spend money on Sunbelt or Siam Legal.

You can apply for a Non Imm B at Brissy on the basis that you are coming to Thailand to explore for investment opportunities.

    1. Have your accountant draft a letter saying that you have x amount in cash in at call bank accounts.

    2. If you have a company make copy of your deed.

    3. Draft a letter explaining that you wish to visit Thailand to carry out due diligence on property and other investment opportunities. State that you require a 12 month multi entry NON IMM B.

If you don't have any cash at call you may alternatively refer to your super balance and the fact that you want to diversify your super into investments in Thailand because of the strong out look for its economy blah blah...

You will then receive a 12 month multi entry B from Brissy that is good for 15 months. Just duck out on a visa run just before the 12 month expires and you will get another 90 days.

DO NOT waste your money on Sunbelt or Siam...you can do it all yourself and only pay the $225 at Brissy...

    What is "Brissy" ?

  9. Coalition to defy court order on bill deliberation: chief govt whip

BANGKOK: -- The chief government whip Wednesday insisted that the coalition and senators would press ahead with the deliberation of a bill seeks to amend Article 68 even if the Constitution issues an injunction to suspend the deliberation.

Chief government whip Amnuay Klungpha was referring to a petition filed by Senator Somchai Sawaengkarn with the Constitution Court against amendment to Article 68. Somchai asked the court to issue an injunction against the deliberation of the amendment bill, whose first reading began on Monday.

Amnuay insisted that parliamentarians had authority to deliberate the amendment bill.

"Even if the Constitution Court decides to proceed with the judicial review of the petition or issues an injunction to suspend the deliberation, we, parliamentarians, must insist on out duty to go on deliberating the bill I the first reading," Amnuay said.
