Ok great, so as I go back home yearly I can continue to just purchase the insurance in my home country.
I assume that I need to apply for a new O-A visa from scratch each time after the nearly 2 years are up, when I return to my home country i.e. the visa can only be extended in Thailand?
-
Just wondered, as a ballpark for a 57 year old with no pre-existing conditions, what is the approximate cost for the health insurance for O-A?
Also, is it correct this has to be purchased from one of a specific list of Thai insurance companies?

Wow, some conflicting information here....think I might just go to Laos to be on the safe side...

Hi,
I am looking to do a border bounce later this month. I have dual UK/Irish nationality and am currently here visa exempt. I would like to know:
1. Can I just cross the border into Myanmar, come back into Thailand on the same day, and receive my 45 day visa exempt entry as I would elsewhere?
2. Are there any fees/costs involved at the borders?
3. Can I leave either country on one passport and enter the other country on my other passport should I desire? There is no problem doing this elsewhere in the world e.g I left Germany on EU passport and entered UK on UK passport, but this is Asia...????
Would be great to hear from someone who has done a bounce in the last couple of weeks ????.
Thanks!

No appointments available at Laksi until March 7, anybody know why?
-
It is a fact unfortunately.
I was denied at CW when asking for a 60 day COVID extension as I had transferred the bullk of my 800k out of Thailand. The officer remembered me from the previous year and almost apologised as she said my only option was to leave the country.
I am sure other people have been successful, maybe at provincial offices, or have used an agent though I never want to go sdown that shady route. I did not need to stay longer in Thailand though a couple more months would have been nice...

FYI, I was recently refused a 60 day COVID extension on my NON O based on retirement as I did not satisfy the financial equirement (800k). Hope you will be OK but TIT..

Hi,
Obviously without the correct funds/income a Non-O visa cannot be extended.
However, are there any consequences if having a visa through the Bt800k in a Thai bank scenario if the balance drops below Bt400k during the year, e.g. is the visa invalidated?
Obviously it would mean the authorities doing a check for some obscure reason, but just wondered if there would be any issues from having less than the stipulated amount in the Thai bank?

I stay near the immigration office so I just popped by and picked up the paperwork a couple days prior. I fill them out prior.
The TM7 is double sided and is the only form with 2 sides.
There is an affidavit form included in the paperwork they supply. Just check the box(es) which are applicable. In my case I checked 2. I checked my embassy will not supply a letter and I also checked the other box and wrote in Covid.
Last question, how many copies of passport pages are needed, just one?

A TM7 form must be printed two sided.
Oh ok, and the TM47 and Affadavit also?
-
1. Did you download and complete your forms in advance for covid extension, and if so, did you give them single side or double sided STM2 and TM7 forms?
2. Did you have to submit an Affadavit for the extension?
-
Just a thought, do you have to present the forms printed double-sided asI think that TM7 is at CW, or does it not matter?
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this, as I could imagine its only a little thing but might be a problem with the wrong IO being over picky....:)

Ninety day reporting and 60 day covid 19 extensions can only be done at MTT. Chaeng Wattana has not done them since July of last year.
A appointment can be done here. http://203.151.166.132/immigrant_queue/booking/
Hi again, in the thread here on Thaivisa:
https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/1193493-60-day-covid-extensions-at-mtt-in-bangkok/page/2/
There are posts this year from bobandyson on Jan 22, and fondue zoo on feb 8, stating they got covid extensions at CW (the latter had entered on an O visa same as me).
I am not an actual tourist as I arrived on an O via, but want the 60 day extensiion, does this mean I go to CW as fondue zoo did, or MTT or either?
-
How do people normally get to MTT? I assume by taxi, but is there any public transport as there often is from downtown to Govt offices outside?
-
Thx guys.
I have no other residence in Thailand.
Wont do the 90 day by post as I need my passport to do the 60 day COVID extension.
-
Thx Ubonjoe, wasnt aware that the COVID 60 day extension could not be done at CW...so MTT it has to be!

1. Both will be done and maybe one for the overstay rules. They will give you the forms when you apply for the extension.
2. You have to tick at least one of the reasons for needing the covid 19 extension on the affidavit.
3. You will probably be asked for a completed TM30 form to report your address.
OK thanks.
1. So i need to complete both forms, which I will do in advance, and the overstay forms they give me?
2. I dont have a reason as I am just not ready to return home yet! I think the UK embassy doesnt privide letters so guess I will tick that box, any thoughts? I can fly back but flights are limited...
3. Hotel has submitted TM30 by post and will give me a copy of their letter so II gueess that should suffice?

I am staying in a hotel in BKK for a couple of weeks and then travel again in Thailand, so need to know what I need to take with me to show immigration
-
I am staying in a hotel in Bangkok so what do I need to provide for immigration when doing my 90 day report, the hotel card, booking or more?
Thanks!

I have an O visa that I cannot renew that expires on April 11 so intend to get the COVID extension, before the March 30 cut-off.
1. I have seen two forms, a STM2 and an Affadavit (both attached below), which do I need to complete?
2. As a Brit, do I just give the reason for the extension as COVID and leave it as that, and I will get the extension without questions?
3. As I am travelling a lot I am staying in hotels. What doI need to provide as address registration? Would my current hotel booking confirmation suffice?
Any advice is greatly appreciated ????

I have to do a 90 Day report and a 60 day COVID extension later this week.
1. Is there any reason to choose CW or MTT, assuming I can do both actions at each?
It would appear that MTT is further from BKK so I would choose CW.
2. Can I book an appointment for the 90 day report and/or the COVID extension at either, and if so how do do this (is there a link maybe I can use)?
Thanks!

its lovely here, just be aware Patong, Karon, Kata are dead. so dont choose there to stay>
stay in Laguna, Kamala, RawaiiThanks for the update. Not sure where I will be arriving in Phuket as coming from the other coast to stay in Bangtao or kamala, so:
1. Can you get a local songthaew from phuket town to kamala or laguna/bang tao area?
2. Are Taxis are the only option from the airport?
-
Yes, I am thinking of going, but how do you get around the island? I lived there before and had a notorcycle, is that or car rental the only way to avoid the rip off taxis?
Is there an airport bus now to the major resorts?
Are there still some buses from Phuket town to the resorts?
-
Thanks guys, I had already checked out Revolut as a cardholder but upgrade for the insurance as already in Thailand wasn't posscible. Had found Safetywing and glad now to have some more options as couldn't find a lot out there...
