  1. Next week I have to travel from Chiang Mai to Vientiane. I went to the bus station and asked all the bus companies if any of them have daytime busses. One had a bus that leaves in the afternoon and arrives in the middle of the night, the others said we no have.

Please - does anyone know of a bus I can take on my way back form Vientiane (friendship bridge) to Chiang Mai, that travels in the daytime?

Maybe this sounds stupid but fly to Udon, or Vientiane or even KKhen and get your visa KKhen and bus to Vientiane.

I am going to fly to Udon and was going to take a bus back to Chiang Mai. I guess maybe my question sounded stupid, but my point was, I believe daytime busses would be much safer than nighttime busses.

ps: I believe living in Thailand is great. I love it here. And I understand that safety and the infrastructure in western countries is not here. Sad to hear about the fatalities. Someone wrote the Thai people don't care, I don't believe that. This is the worst bus accident I heard about, I hope it is a wake up call to the bus companies and drivers.

  3. Last week I attended a couple hours of watercolor painting lessons at the Watercolour de Lanna Gallery in Chiang Mai. I have a lot of free time in my day, probably the same as many other expats. This has been great, I have done five small weird paintings.

The teacher is very experienced and a really cool guy. The Watercolour de Lanna Gallery is close the the Kad San Kaew shopping center on Huay Kaew Rd. You can do a web search to find their website that has a map. Or contact me for info.

  4. Hello,

I have put these small bike tours on hold for now.

But if you would like to do the ride on your own and need any info, please feel free to contact me. I still do the rides a few times a week, so maybe I'll see ya there - but don't leave Pai without seeing the Pam Bok Waterfall..

    Kind Regards,

    Thomas

  5. Hi,

I ride my bicycle to the Pam Bok Waterfall a few times a week for health, fitness and fun. It is my favorite place in Pai. I am looking for other people that would like to go on the ride.
