If there is an over supply then sell them cheap so everyone can enjoy them. The Thai pineapples are the best I have ever eaten. Would be great if they could be exported to Australia to compete with our rubbish we get here. If there are still too many, take them to the forest and feed them to the wild elephants.
On the roadside outside of Chiang Rai they are 4 baht each (reduced from 5). In the villages out in the countryside they are selling them in the markets at 2 baht per kilo, so they cannot make them much cheaper

If you leave from DM or Swampy it's free, from all provincial airports you have to pay 500 baht and you do get a stamp in your passport. Also they supply you with an official police receipt for the 500 baht.

Do you arrive on visa exempt (no visa, just stamp on arrival)?
If you want perfect peace of mind you can extend you stay for another 30 days at the immigration office.
Costs 1900 Baht(!) and should be done about a week before expiry.
On the other hand: there is no sanction for a one day overstay (no ban, no fee [at least at the airport]).
Still you might be concerned to be caught on the last day on the way to the border/airport.
That is not correct. If you leave from DM or Swampy it's free, from all provincial airports you have to pay 500 baht and you do get a stamp in your passport. Also they supply you with an official police receipt for the 500 baht.

Nothing to worry about. I believe you received an overstay stamp, which noted that it was within 24 hours.
There is a 24 hour amnesty for fines for overstaying due to many people miscalculating the 30 day stay/return flight date. Day 1 of the 30 is always the day you arrive even if it's one minute before midnight.
The overstay stamp shouldn't cause you any problems in the future.
This is not actually true, it only happens at Swampy, regional airports will charge you 500 baht and stamp your passport with a box showing the fine imposed, they also give you a receipt for the fine imposed

There is a place on the new bypass road that runs alongside the airport. It is on the left side of the road heading towards the flyover at Home Pro. It is after you go over the river bridge by the government offices/schools and just before the next set of lights at the crossroads. There is also a site on the road towards Wiang Chai if you take the left turn at the above mentioned lights. Make sure it is the first left turn for Wiang Chai not the second one.

Why don't they just pass a law that every jet ski has to be out of the water before renting it out?
That way the tourists can check for themselves that there is no damage.

Have a look at Poppy Guesthouse on Facebook
7 bungalows alongside a lake between Chiang Rai and Mae Sai
There is a phone number on the Facebook page

I have had the exact same response to this advertiser (he has a Thai name)
Tried to get him to leave the bike in Chiangrai as I will be there at the beginning of May
He offered to send the bike via Escrow service – he will pay all expenses etc – but once I had agreed a price with him he asked for 50% of the fee up front
I never took him up on his offer as it obviously a scam
The same bike is for sale in Bangkok too, it is advertised on Bahtsold and Craiglist
The guy Peter in Bangkok has loads of bikes for sale, but says he is not a dealer
I first spotted the scam when they both sent photos of the bike to my private e-mail and I noticed the same number plate on the bike, that is when the alarm bells first started ringing, so I played along for a while to see what they were up to

I did it last November. Hired a car at Swampy airport and drove to Hua Hin. Stayed for a few days then onto Kanchanaburi for Remembrance Day then drove north to Chiang Rai and left the car at CR airport after one week. Make sure you buy a good map and then it is no problem. It is a very good way of seeing more of real Thailand.

I am not looking for phones, tablets, etc. I want specific software regarding the graphic design/typography industry
Confusing as Tuk.com is a music download website. So I guess the Pattaya version is simply a name rip-off.
Computer centre Kad Suan Kaew but Panthip more likely.Everyone in Pattaya knows Tuk.com, it is a huge discount IT centre over 5 floors, can get anything IT/phone related there – all at knock-off prices
You must know other Tuk coms, because all the Tuk coms I have been ( Pattaya - Sriracha and Chonburi) are poor replica of an IT center where you can buy Knock off brands, but nothing decent, apart from at JIB store.
I've been looking just the other day for a Note 3, and from the whole phone floor there was exactly 1 ( one - uno ) shop that had a single Note 3 in stock in white color, and all the 399 other shops you went to would have to run to that particular shop to get that same phone.
You will understand that I got offered 25 different prices for that same phone
Forgot to add, first thing they asked when inquired for a Samsung Note was, you want copy or original.

And there's an Apple Store or two I think.
Thanks for that, but I wasn't looking to pay full price for software

The first time I visited CM about 11 years ago, my wife's cousin took me to a 'mall' that sold all sorts of computer software at a very reasonable price.
I have visited Tuk.com in Pattaya a few times, but don't really want to make the trip there from Chiang Rai and was wondering if it is possible to buy iMac software in CM?

My wife is the same. She has lived in the UK for 10 years now and hates going back to Thailand even for a 2-week holiday
I have been trying hard to convince her that we have to go and live in Thailand to make my pension stretch a bit further – I think I am finally winning the battle
