We weren't on the radar but had a storm early hours of the morning for an hour and again all this morning with rain. Still overcast so hopefully more on the way. Certainly lowered the blistering temperatures we've ben experiencing.

It's the new airport I believe.

We don't all sit in bars all day and all night drinking! Most of us have better things to do.

Mind Your Language in Bophut are excellent and can help with the education visa. Just google them or they are on Facebook.

the mail service here is excellent. As long as you have an address it comes directly to your house or else you can rent a box at the PO.

Not worth having.

Good to hear although I've never had a problem with Immigration office in Nathon. If it's a 90 day report only for retirement visa always best just to push to the front (gently) and give it to one of the girls.

We've had bad weather for almost a month so of course there is going to be a lot of debris on the beach. Bang Por is covered in it.

I saw them this afternoon starting at Fishermans and then no the way back they were, as you say, in Bang Rak. I think this is to do with checking on is in the hotels/rental properties/houses etc that was posted on here yesterday. Basically everyone has to report who they have staying with them and now this is being enforced.

You need to drive around the island and look. No point asking people as no one but you knows what you want. You won't get anything on the beach for that budget with a pool.

Well we did get a HUGE amount of rain last night on Samui in Bang Por, first real downpour for many months, and went on for a few hours, threatening again tonight but was a beautiful sunny day all day today.

Shame it's too late for the airport on Koh Phangan. Still good news otherwise.

Puut pasaaat Thai nit noy. I speak Thai a little. Covers it all and simple.

I think you are all missing the point that on Koh Samui, which is where the first poster is talking about, it is LOW SEASON, so there are very few tourists on the island. Roads are quiet and the restaurants are quiet, thank goodness. And whoever said Central is not for Westerners must be nuts. Of course it is at those prices, where it is and the types of shops!

Nope, fine.

For goodness sake, keep up!!

I've never known the photos to be checked as to who signed them, I wouldn't worry.

Guessing the large club there?
-
It's been colder than that over the last month where we are too.
-
Thanks that explains the empty shelves then.

That's a lot to think about and you've obviously thought long and hard about the problem because I agree it is one. I've just seen this so I am going to mull it over and reply tomorrow, but I basically agree that something more constructive needs to be done.

The week that was in Thailand news: Are we miserable? – sorry, that’s a rhetorical question.
