Don't know where or when it has been below freezing in Victoria during the day for months on end. Next minute we will have stories of people living in cardboard boxes in the middle of the road.

Thanks guys. The translation is for the Freedom To Marry Declaration and Divorce Certificate. So we can then go to Thai Department Of Consular Affairs to lodge translated papers to marry.

bigt116 is actually right. As a former police officer of 25+ years I can say it is a tactic to stop people and vehicles in the dead of night when no-one is expected to be out. It can lead to some quote fortuitous findings.I wonder what they think will be happening that is a threat to national security between midnight and 4a.m??
If you know the streets should be virtually empty, then it gives the security forces less people to check and also means that any unexpected movement can be considered as suspicious. This greatly helps with hindering the movement of wanted people and arms.
A little bit of knowledge is a very dangerous thing. Todays winner is bigt116 and who has read one too many Tom Clancy novels.

I'm a little confused. There is talk of tourist visas being cracked down on. Do they mean tourist exemptions or tourist visas? I have a double entry tourist visa. I used the 1st entry for 60 days and extended it at immigration for another 30 days. I now wish to do a visa run to Cambodia and enter back into Thailand after turn around to use my 2nd entry for 60 days on my tourist visa. I have never done this before. Am I going to have a problem?

I think you mean hey. Sheep eat hay.So he is a leader because he appeared on their stage....Once I believe.
The Mrs was on their stage once also I wonder if her name is on the list.
The next target would have to be the foreign leader who appeared on the red stage, but that dosent count as the reds are only threatening civil war and separatism.
Hay, if someone can be arrested for resurrection then some of the red posters on here are in trouble.

Obviously if you want to do something a little bit naughty that is the trick, fly parallel with Australia in the early hours of the morning and you won't be detected. A little bit of a worry.

Tywais thanks for that. As I said I'm no expert and your post helps to explain that for me. Thanks again. Kind regards, Chris

Surely the Australian military would know of something as big as a 777 flying 1700 - 1800 km off of the coast of Australia with over the horizon radar and such.

Okay I am no expert here but would an unidentified aircraft flying in this area appear on Australian civilian or military radar? It is hard to believe an aircraft of this size could have been undetected.

As for the firearms being handled, it does not matter in regards to identifying the suspect through fingerprints. As the story says, the firearms were fished out of a canal. The fingerprints would have been destroyed in the water. You can't even lift fingerprints from a shiny car left out in the rain. Don't be so quick to judge the police.

Thugs not allowing a fellow countryman to vote. Time for the police and army to stop this lawless behaviour.

@Basil B. Neither the police or Yingluck are responsible for the death of red shirt supporters last week. It was pro Suthep supporters who inflicted this violence.

Whilst tourism is important it contributes less than 20% of GDP in total including International and Domestic Tourism. It is not just agriculture, there is a large amount of manufacturing, medical and technological industry here. Hence the large amount of MNC's operating within the country.
That being said of course tourism plays an important part and we all hope for a quick recovery within this sector.
