45cm wide doesnt seem big for a Thai, should be able to find someone to wash your dishes quite easily. Not expensive either and there could be many other benefits ...... like cleaning the home too.

A dishwasher come at least with a 1y warranty...

In Thailand it seems harder.

I called True and they understood my problem.

They asked me to unplug the router, then I had to wait for 2mn during the time that she was making some modification in their server. Plugged it again and it worked fin.

I was impressed by their technical service.

Since this morning I am having hard time with my Dyndns.

On the router in "Status" the ip is A.A.A.A

But when I use my computer and go to check my ip websites I get B.B.B.B

Means that my computer is not getting the same external IP of my router. Strange no ?

I made router and computer restart (many time) and the problem is still the same (but with different IP on both computer & router).

I do not get it...

You are right, they prefer to spend money on wire new condos. But obviously the bangkok CBD district is an area where there are the more people who can "afford" a more expensive Internet plan. And only few building are linked to the cable. Surprising strategy...

You are actually very lucky to have a building management who pushed them to come and do the job. I have a "mai mee/mai dai" management.

Do you mind to ask your building management if they have the contact @ True ? As the call center is not helpful at all !

Also I am sure that I can request the other co-owner to pay for the instalation, I don't know why true does not just charge for the service, it could solve the problem.

Appart from True who are the Cable provider in Bangkok ?

I am living on a condo near Silom which has been built in 2005.

Unfortunatelly we can only have the Hi-Speed Internet ADSL with the Telephone as the building does not have the cable.

Is there a way to request to True to come and to link your building to the Fiber Cable in order to get the ultra High Speed ?

Is it free or will they charge ?

If you want a PC which works and be reliable I will avoid all "assembly" places in Pantip or Fortune.

I like Dell PC as they come all installed and with a good service.

Unfortunately Dell is not selling directly to end user anymore you have to go through their distributor.

If CAT say blocklists are doing it, then the first thing to do is ask them what blocklists they are using. I say that because we had a similar problem when our ISP started using blocklists without telling us. We also had that cretin that runs Spamhaus who decided to block entire ISPs if they had a large segment of customers sending spam, irrespective if they had responsible customers like us who were clean as a whistle.

Had to get the EU to sort that one out.

It seems that almost all ip (i have tryed random) from CAT are locked by Barracuda and Spamhaus. I can fight with them to get unlocked my IP but tomorrow my IP will be changed automatically and I will have to start again.

At my office we are using 2 secure SMTP server based in Europe.

We are using outlook with the setting "this server require an authentification".

Since friday we can't send email !!!!

I have tried to telnet my both servers and it is not working (port 25,2525 and 587)

The problem comes by CAT because when I use Iphone internet connection with our computers the emails can go.

I called them and they said it is because of SPAM, means that our sending servers in Europe have blacklised our ip.

But my IP is not my IP !!!! I am maybe using an IP of a guy owho send 10000 spam yesterday !!!

If tryed to change my IP by restarting the router (thanks to the thai dynamic IP !!!).

The problem is the same.

Maybe all range of CAT ip are blacklisted 110.77.xxx.xxx ?

The only "solution" proposed by CAT "technicians" is to use their free SMTP relay2.cat.net.th .

Of course this is not a real solution. I don't know what to do !!!

Nope... I cannot even get TOT fibre in Langsuan which is located about 200m from their head office...

Some of my staff live in CHantaburi and he has TOT Fibre...

I don't get it...

Here's my suggestions:

- Could you use a web-cam with a lower resolution ? No but when i cal I can set the speed of connexion most of the time it is ok in 512kbps

- Did you contact CAT and try to resolve it ? I did but they are not helping at all.

- You were getting enough capacity before and now the service has degraded ,,,Do you know what has changed ? It depends of the day or the time sometime I can have a good line sometime not. But I did not notice a special day or time.

- Are you sure it's not the other end with a bad connection ? No they are fine.

- Did you contact the teleconferencing software company and have them troubleshoot things ? Yes they said it is the line.

- How much bandwidth do they say you must have available ? if you have a stable line of 256kbps it should be ok but the line must be very stable.

- Does the latency effect things ? Of course if the latency is bad the conference will be terrible.

- Regarding the above; is the socket TCP or UDP ? Both
- Regarding the above; If TCP; is delayed TCP Ack causing buffering ? don't get it
- Regarding the above; Are you able to assign QOS bit flags to your uploads ? Yes I did
- Regarding the above; Will ISP honour such flags ? don't get it

Actually it is more complicated than expected (as usual),

My building is located in what I call "central bangkok" on soi Langsuan despite this location:

1. True

THe max speed that they can offer is 12/1M. I can't accept it as 1M upload is too low.

2. 3BB

This area is not covered yet fot optic fiber so they are supposed to call me back with 3-4 months when they will be ready.

Of course I will call them back.

I have an additionnal question for 3BB they have home and business packages. Is there any differences excepted the prices ?

I am still checking with them they are not from far away the best customer service.

Do you know if there are some Business ISP like very expensive but with a reliable service ? Appart from Leased Line....

I am considering switching to True despite my very bad experience 8 years ago.

1. What is the difference between "True High Speed" and "True Ultra High Speed" ?

2. Shall I consider the Fiber line of CAT ?

3. Any other good ISP ? My budget is 5000 a month ?
