I wonder if these 2 HDDs are fake ? not sure there is a better word for it.
I now also suspect that these could be fakes. However, I am not an expert to judge that.
The images show the SAMSUNG and TOSHIBA labels.

Is it possible that I've identified the error that's causing this issue? The terminal indicates that the format is NTFS, which I believe Mac cannot write to.

Did you try the Initialise option? And how about the other questions?
Yes, but unfortunately without success. Now, I'm planning a visit to Pantip as I'm running out of alternatives I've tried all the solutions mentioned in this thread.
I've been working with Mac computers for over 30 years and, despite my "Mac knowledge", I can't seem to resolve this particular issue
-
In the "About This Mac" section, under the "Storage" tab, an issue arises when the TOSHIBA storage device is connected, triggering an immediate error message. However, I simply proceed by clicking on the "ignore" option.
Although the TOSHIBA storage device is visible, it is not accessible through the Disk Utility tool. The "First Aid" feature still functions properly and can be utilized.

It's an absolute nightmare...
Both disks are displaying the exact same error message. The first disk, as indicated in the TOSHIBA report, exhibits the issue, and the other disk, a Samsung, is also encountering the same problem.Disk Utility - TOSHIBA:
- Running First Aid on “” (disk5s1)
- Repairing file system.
- Volume is already unmounted.
- Performing fsck_exfat -y -x /dev/rdisk5s1
- Checking volume.
- Checking main boot region.
- Main boot region is invalid. Trying alternate boot region.
- Checking alternate boot region.
- Alternate boot region is invalid.
- The volume could not be verified completely.
- File system check exit code is 1.
- Restoring the original state found as unmounted.
- File system verify or repair failed. : (-69845)
- Operation failed…

I'm grateful for your tips. Thank you, everyone

From your screen grabs it LOOKS like you can erase and format the "Toshiba" drive.
The major issue at hand is that despite my efforts, any attempt to partition, erase, or format the disk fails. Furthermore, I am unable to successfully mount the disk, leading to the operating system's failure to recognize it.

What happens when you select Erase in Disk Utility?
It fails.

A coworker has kindly provided me with two portable hard disk drives (HDDs) that are nearly new, approximately three weeks old.
When I checked in the Disk Utility, I discovered that each disk has an unformatted partition of 2 TB. Unfortunately, I am unable to perform tasks such as erasing, formatting, or mounting the disks.
In an attempt to resolve this issue, I also tried creating a partition while in recovery mode, but this attempt also ended in failure.
Consequently, my next course of action is to take the disks to a computer shop and have them tested for any potential physical damage.
Would you happen to know of a trustworthy computer shop in Bangkok (BKK) that you could recommend? Alternatively, do you have any advice on how I might be able to format the disks and get them recognized by the macOS Catalina system?
Thanks guys

Did you add it through "Adding Vaccination Information" or through "Edit Profile"?
I have added the correct pp number again in profile. That hasn't changed much. The certificate still shows the incomplete/incorrect number. I think that correction can only be done by the vax site.

The Qr codes in the app have disappeared!

just scanned the QR code for my one jab in Thailand
Can you please describe the steps to do that. I couldn't find a scanner within the Mor Prom app.
Thanks

How to have an error corrected in the "Mor Prom" application? The digital certificate that contains all 3 vaccinations shows my passport number - but one letter is missing. I am unable to visit the two different vaccination centers again. My certificate printouts show the correct passport number!
What shall i do?
Your advise is much appreciated

My ISP will terminate internet service for non-corporate customers by end of December. I'm currently receiving the internet signal over the phone (old copper line). For some reasons I can't switch to another ISP.
In future I must use WiFi router with a sim card slot as hotspot. The router must be connected to a power outlet. A battery router is useless for my needs.
I know that DTAC sells 10mb unlimited internet sim cards, valid 1 year at a very reasonable price.
I'm working with an Apple computer.
What router/sim card provider do you recommend? Are other solutions available?
Your advise is very much appreciated.

I am urgently looking for a small apartment with WIFI or LAN (TV not needed) in the Yannawa district, preferably around Sathorn 11 or 13; approximately 35 sqm. Budget: 12K/month. Any recommendations appreciated. Please send PM.
Any recommendation of an apartment building is welcome too.

If you had to choose a place to live, under normal circumstances, which is a better spot? Phuket or Pattaya?

Portable HDD issue
in Apple Products
Posted
I'm glad to inform you that my problem has been successfully resolved by purchasing a brand new HDD from the Apple store.
I have replaced the faulty disks with a Sandisk G-Drive Armor ATD, which has a storage capacity of 1 TB. The cost of this disk was 3690 baht.
Earlier, I had both disks (TOSHIBA and Samsung) tested on both a PC and a Mac. The test revealed I/O errors on both disks, and attempts to reformat them proved unsuccessful. They are unusable.
