Most it will be further up the value chain than primary production but there is a section on Food Technology for those farmers interested in vertical integration and also a good chance to see what 'the market' is getting up to. At the very least there should be plenty of nice scran.

Try a site called KAYAK for a multi-airline prices. If your travel dates are flexible and Jet Airways have an office in Bangkok who will answer your questions and they are a decent airline.

Train is a great way to experience Thai life. Its very easy to navigate from Bangkok Hua Lamphong station. Nice way for a scencie trip but silly if one wants to go from Koh Chang to SR by land.

You could take the Airport Train just for the scenic view and to save money but cost is seemingly not an issue for you. Then taxi from Phaya Thai on the northbound side as the taxi can turn immediately left into Si Ayutthaya rd which ends at The Wet just 1km north of Phra Arthit .

Relocate the office to a room with 4 walls and an aircon in the house. AC is the only other practical solution in Thailand. Probably too much humidity for swamp coolers and those fans that blow a water vapour spray from a tank are not effective indoors after a few minutes.

I would say, Not more than 20 - 25,000 a month to live comfortably.

Don't squander money on western food. live near BTS/MRT and avoid taxis. I think for 10k a month you should be able to get a decent small but clean a room basically including paying all your bills with an Internet line if there no wifi in the building.
