  1. Be very careful about accounting firms. I have been through 4 in Phuket and they made a lot of problems for me. Always get the receipt yourself when they pay your taxes otherwise the money might not go to the tax people.

It is possible.... were you using freelancers? Because I noticed there are many freelance who work independently or work with other auditors ..... but the company I used had proper office with 6-8 thai staff and I was with them 7 years , no problems.

My advice for everyone is always try to stay away from freelancers, stick with the proper company.

  2. The following link say, I can have workpermit from Phuket and add new working locations only

    Working in multiple provinces

I have a company that is based in Phuket, but my work requires that I am able to work in other provinces. What do I need to do in order to prevent any issues with my work permit occurring while working away from Phuket?

Ydedive, Phuket Town Thursday, December 20, 2012 4:07:05 PM “You do not need to get a new work permit to work in another province. If you have a company based in Phuket then you should get your work permit here.

To work in other provinces you need to visit the Phuket Employment Office to add the “other work places” to your work permit. We coordinate with every employment office in Thailand so you should not have any problems when working away from Phuket. However, you will need to contact us before adding a new work location. For more information call us at 076-219 660, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm.”

  3. I have my scuba diving office in Phuket now, and lawyer/account in Phuket.

I like to move my office to Bangkok, and still work with my existing lawyer in Phuket (My lawyer don't mind I work with anyone, but I like to stay with them).

If i understand correctly when i open office in bkk, I will be dealing with ministry of employment in Bkk? or it is possible to change my office location to Bangkok with ministry of employment in Phuket?

My accountant/lawyer said they don't know anyone in Bangkok, and it would not be easy if Ministry of employment want documents or check physical place, ...etc.

They said: Bangkok can be 2nd branch as long as I have Phuket main office. But I like to close my Phuket office, has anyone any solution for this before? Thank you

  4. From my limited experience (two years ago, Thai Language Solution, classrooms in Phaya Thai and Sukumvit, detailed report under "success report: six months of studying Thai" with updates), there is not much choice for time and day of courses (in my cases, there were only courses in the morning, I would have preferred afternoon). Anyway, I think it is a better use of your time and money to have a private teacher, i.e. no class, one to one teaching. At least for me it turned out to be more efficient in the end.

They have classes (or private teacher) for reading and writing. I can't compare to other language schools, but I found nothing wrong with them and would go there again.

Thank you for you recommendation,,,I will have a look at what they offering ...More suggestion welcome ...Thx

  5. Please recommend me with following criteria is preferred but not limited to:

1- Have branches in either Phuket or Pattaya, so incase if I have to continue elsewhere

2- Flexible timing, mean some days morning, some days evening, or be able to change the days for classroom.

3- Accessible by BTS or MRT. Prefered in Sukhumvit area, but not limited to.

4- Have good teaching materials, similar to thai education systems, not something designed for complete beginners, as I can speak thai Better than most foreigners who THINK they can speak thai,,,I am trying to become really fluent, not just good enough to get by.

I heard of "Walen Language School" only, but don't know anything about them. Just give me some recommendation, and I will do my due diligence. Thank you

  6. Thank you to those who made some recommendation..

I wish there wasn't so many angry farangs in these forums.

For your information, I am not a tourist, I am professional who make his leaving in Thailand.

I have to pay 30,000 rent for my company rent

I rent a home in Phuket 7,000 baht

I need to fly Phuket-bkk-Phuket 3-4 times a month, it all adds up

I just need a clean place to sleep and quick access to BTS/MRT to go around. I am not looking to bring overnight bargirl and impress her.

I already found dozens of apartments that caters to local thais, and have daily price. If you knowledge is limited on bkk, please refrain from making comments.

I assume most posters here knows not much other than Nana plaza, soi cowboys....etc

P.s Moderators ....please close this thread, as no longer needed

  7. I live 15 days south Thailand and 15 days Bangkok.........I checked Agoda, anything in this price range is almost dorm or pack packers style( almost 1 star accommodation) ).....around soi 3-5 in shukumvit I couldn't find any decent clean room for less than 700-800 baht

The more hotels/service apartments you can recommend is better....as I like to try different locations which is 10 minute walking distance to BTS or MRT.....Thank you
