  1. I wonder if this is the same Kent Farrar from Morwell, Victoria. The age is about right and if it is I have had some dealings with him in the past, on a professional basis of course. A bit of a loose cannon who has priors for serious assaults.

Could be a small world if it is himsmile.png

clap2.gif they sure do breed them tough in that neck of the woods down Morwell way, the cultural center of Victoria, he might even be a mountain man from the snowy region, but he must have figured that he could do that as he often did this sort of thing after the local football match on a saturday, if your team was beaten go around burning the cars of the other team, now thats what i call tough - where men are men and women eat their young and the crows fly backwards to keep the sand out of their eyes. cheesy.gif

Funnily enough that was quite like the reason my dad used to drag my mum around and into the cave by her hair.

  2. Don't know what is quite with this situation.......

I have met some nice Aussies in Thailand, but then I have met some real Aus-holes....... And the latter always seems to have a chip on their shoulder.... coffee1.gifcoffee1.gifcoffee1.gif

I think you will find that its the same same but same with every nationality here.

Actually I met one with a chip so big on his shoulder I thought he had a wedgie.

    ahhh the good old days.

  4. Seriously how many times have we seen a (volunteer police) member in trouble with the law on here? I'd say 30 ++, Like most Thai males, as soon as they have a bee's dick of authority they think they are above the law. I have a distant uncle in my family that is a Police volunteer, he's now turned into a complete wanke_r, brought many pieces of police kit and uniform. does patrols on his own, its ruined his family life and is work is suffering badly because he's living out this stupid fantasy. Time for Thailand to disband all active roles for volunteers.

Heavens, can't think where I have seen that before... hmm now let me think..

    Pommie prison guards.

    Pommie customs people,

    Pommie security guards,

NZ policemen/women (who were pommies before).

  5. Later Mr. Edwin found out that the rapist was Mr. Yongyuth (not reveal his surname), aged 18

Why the hell not reveal his surname? this full name should be there so that he would get a community beat up, and get his testicles removed before he gets caught by the police.

I wonder who wants to protect this animal...

Because he is only accused perhaps? After they prove it perhaps.

As for community beat up LOL. The only people who read this are foreigners who think all Thai people look the same. Perhaps re your last line, the same people who don't name you.

OMG sorry I forgot about TV having not only a jury, but prosecutors in Soi 4, a jury in Soi Sip Jedd, and a judge to boot.

  6. The only person who knows for sure that I did it is my Mrs. When speaking with the woman in question my Mrs denied all knowledge and said I wasn't involved. I've not actually spoken to the woman in question as I don't speak Thai and she doesn't speak English

My guess is that your wife knew what you did, and cooked up the whole thing with the neighbor woman in order to take 20,000ThB off you, which they will then split.

    ;>

    :)

  7. First, I give you credit for being forthright and honest here, but I must also say that you are a dispicable human being. No matter what goodness you have done cannot erase this awful thing. Murder is murder.

You are lucky your wife doesn't divorce you. I know that I probably would have to think twice about staying with a person who could commit such an act of violence and aggression.

With all that being said. Most of the advice you have been given will wind you up in prison. First, go talk to a lawyer immediately and ask for real advice.

Second, if you are renting, move. If you own your house sell it and move to a different town or at least the opposite end of town. No matter what do not stay in that neighborhood. NOthing good will come from living there. You will be hated by everyone in that area. If there is a temple near by go and talk to the senior monk and tell him what you did and ask him for help changing your ways. That will at least keep people off your back for a while.

If you are on a marriage visa, you need your neighbors interviewed to get the extension. You don't want to get denied for this act.

Good luck, it will not be an easy fix. You created a very difficult situation for yourself and have probably made yourself an enemy to all in that neighborhood.

It must be extremely difficult to be the "lady's'" lawyer.

Can I suggest that up there in Khon Kaen, things are different? Now pop back out to your Bo tree, lie down, and continue the mantra "eventually they will find I was right".

  8. On a similar note in my area there was this little scrote who kept breaking in to our neighbors toy shop and stealing their stuff, anyway the other night he got it wrong and got electrocuted. So guess what? His mother is claiming 100.000 baht from the shop owner in compensation! Isn't it strange how mercenary they are to the point of utter annoyance. Even when they are so clearly wrong.

I wouldn't give the dog owner anything she hasn't cared before and merely sees this as a quick opportunity to make some fast cash, they have no shame about this type of behavior.

OMG can you imagine a female Thai trying this on... Oh my stars whatever next... marriage?

  9. I can't see that you are being blackmailed, drrobert. The lady in question has requested you settle compensation for killing her dog.

There's half a dozen soi dogs here and nobody advertises ownership, but if I killed one then I would expect to be informed pretty sharpish.

Why don't you settle and have done with it.

Perhaps because anyone who would suggest that is the ladies' lawyer?

  10. Times like that you can say a prayer of thanks to the fishermen that killed all the sharks in the ocean and the Chinese that ate them all. Amen.

Sharks are not the problem. I've been diving for 15 years, most of that as an instructor. The problem is an incompetent boat captain that fails to protect his passengers. There was a similar incident in Australia a few years ago that resulted in Australia enacting some of the strictest laws in the world concerning boat liability. I wish Thailand would do the same and, of course, enforce them.

    LOL @ that man.

Laws are easy ... it's the other bit that doesn't work.

  11. Crazy place..crazy kids and a f%£@d education system.....what do the authorities expect.....or should it be..what do the authorities care!

It is no use for schools to try to undo what the parents fail to do from birth. Sick lazy deranged parents in many cases, parents need to go to school to learn how to bring up children.

It starts AT HOME.. the school can add to later with further education on the subject.

Would also question some teachers not knowing as they will be parents also.

LOL, so that's the issue - parents don't care.

Sadly that's true but the schools care even less.

  12. Croc meat at Makro comes from Aust.   I wanted to purchase Thai farm raised croc meat

I think this is what you are looking for and is sold at Makro, along with Thai ostrich, frog, boar, deer and several other species.

Why would Makro import Aussie crocodile meat when Thailand has an abundant domestic supply?.

Which of course reminds me, that I met my Australian wife in Thailand and married her in Thailand.

I also took 2 kg of coal from Moura in Queensland, to Newcastle in England.

  14. OMG... I love crocodile meat. I get it at Makro, Should buy the better cut, it

tasts like a cross between shrimp and white chicken. This comes from

Aust. I didn't know it was farmed locally. Anyone know where you can

purchase it in the Pattaya area?

Well as somebody noted earlier, wait for the double entendre.

I don't believe crocodile tastes like a cross between chicken and anything, it tastes like crocodile, however, my great joy is eating tail.

  15.

This is nothing compared with Tesco-Lotus, Seacon Square, where there are many cockroaches and even rats running around. I wrote a complaint but nothing happened. If it was Tesco UK, the supermarket would have been closed immediately and fumigated. I have even seen a large rat run over the foot of a member of Tesco's Staff and they were not at all concerned.

I was very ill after flying Bangkok Airways from Lampang last month and I put it down to the salad also.

A rat landed on my foot when I was walking down Beach Road in Pattaya, and I wasn't wearing socks, it jumped back off again, lovely cuddly little things.

I had a pet rat in grad school. They actually make great pets if you don't have space for a dog ... can even teach them tricks. I picked up a pretty girl hitchhiker once, and she spent most of the 4 hour drive petting the rat on her lap. When I dropped her off in Toronto she said to me, "that's a lovely hamster you have there". I figured I best not correct her on it... :-)

My pythons get a rat each week. Very nice. There was a cute little brown one last week.

  16. That kind of thing is just not cricket! At first when I saw the headline I thought someone was pulling my leg. Bangkok Airways CEO's first thought was "its really going to kick off now".

Interesting to see how many whingers crawled all over this out of the woodwork and jumped all over it.

My concern was that everyone else would want thier own after one passenger got licky, but the report doesn't say if that occured.
