I beg to differ that the food on Bali is better. Not in my experience. Although I have to admit that the Bintang beer is a heck of a lot better than it used to be. Years ago, it was worse than Singha.

I did something similar. One of those construction camps set up next door to us. They would start up one of those so-called music trucks every evening. Very annoying. I noted that there were several families in the encampment with toddlers. I set up some outdoor speakers and pointed them their way. I would put AC/DC's Back in Black album on at full volume and let it play until about 02:00 AM for a few nights. They refrained from using their music trucks going forward.

I would be willing to bet that China wont open ever unless they change their stance on not accepting any Covid in country. They haven't stated what their end game is. If they intend to never let the Covid virus exist in China, they can never open up.

Africans also have hydroxychloroquine for malaria and Ivermectin for parasites readily available and being used on a regular basis.

I don't think most people have quite figured out the overall picture yet. The virus was released in China. Now China is for all practical purposes again a completely closed country (just like prior to 1989). China has been hemorrhaging foreign currency the last few years and is in big financial trouble (Evergrande). The last thing the Chinese Government wants is their citizens leaving and spending hard earned foreign currency and transferring such currency out to buy condos, houses and such. Also being exposed to such foreign attributes like freedom of speech, the press and so on. Isn't the virus and fear of it a handy excuse to keep the Chinese locked in?
