  1. You can`t. Only ones who can are returning Thai Citizens been outside Thailand for a year or more, people with Work permit and diplomats. And again only if all papers are ok and if the things they import follow the current rules. Eg. only one thing of each electrical object. We used an Bangkok based moving Company and they handled everything very professionally. Very import to have a good Company here to handle everything for you.

  2. If I was you, I would get an agent or moving company to sort it out. Not just someone only care about bath and satang, but someone who really do want to help their customers. We did and we were the one with the big smile on. You present might even get things more complicated and more expensive

  3. The Buddha items might give you some problems, the Ipad my guess is that you would have to pay tax on. Not sure about the golf clubs. Customs officers have the strangest ideas about what is luxury goods and what is not. Even bicycles they rate as luxury. My guess is that they will open the boxes and if the items don`t macth the packing list then there will be problems. They will always try to find an excuse to get Money.

  4. Only people who can bring anything free is return thai Citizen, people with Work permit and diplomats. But there are still requirements and conditions to be complied with. Know that customs officials do not stick to the written rules. They tried with me and my Thai wife, but they got nothing. We shipped in my wife name and we had a good moving Company who toke good care of everything. They started at 125.000 bath, then 50.000 bath. Then they wanted 12.000 bath for not open the container. The moving Company said they could to, but that they had to have representative present and that they would take Picture of everything that custom did and that custom had to load the container Again with no breakage. Custom just stamped the paper released the container.

  5. We moved to Thailand in my Thai wife name, she had been living outside Thailand for almost 2 years and we had only 1 Electric item of each. No problem what so ever. The Company we used told us about the regulation for importing used household to Thailand. Thereafter they handled everything for us to perfection, from packing, shipping, custom clearance and unpacking.

  6. Yes, very easy to find someone. Lots of Cowboys and helldrivers out there, who want to make some money. I personally would never leave our household in the hands of any but a professional moving Company.

  7. No the law has not been changed yet. It will be sometime during spring they say. Lets see.

No matter what people think about me and I having small Heart. Law is still a law and now the daughter is going to school and the mother probally getting social sercurity on a Tourist visa. Thats not legal. Meaning everybody that arrives in Denmark on a tourist vise should be able to go to nearste Doll office a collect. Welcome to Denmark. This woman and her daughter have been subject to applicable law, the mother has said that she wanted to stay in Thailand with the family, but that there was a better economy to be in Denmark . This was printed in Danish media.

  8. I don´t need help. In order to qualify for permanent residency they must have lived in Denmark for at least 5 years. None of them have stayed in Denmark for 5 years. The authorities can revoke the residence permit if the conditions to which the permission was given to, change. "If you have received a residence permit on the basis of a marriage, and your marriage ends". They entre Denmark on a tourist visa now. They can´t get a permanent residence visa before the law is changed. And so far this law hasn´t been changed. If you aget divorced or partner dies and then get married again (or part of a new partnership / cohabitation), the calculation of 5 years start from the beginning.
