  1. I also moved from US to avoid gun violence. The majority of gun violence here is gang related, kids shooting kids. Random acts at the mall or movies or schools are almost unheard of. The only problem is that statistically the dangers are a tie with all the horrible drivers here.

The deciding factor as an American is quality of life which is better here due to weather, food and above all affordable quality healthcare.

  2. This should go National on TV and newspapers to protect others from this and CTH and Police should come forward to try to regain their honor. This won't help bring tourists to Thailand. This could have gone violent in an instant.

  3. A foreign nations oil passing through America to sell to yet another foreign nation? Risking fresh water supplies to millions with a technology that produces 6,000 leaks a year with exiting pipelines for a few thousand jobs?

    Thank you Mr. Obama

  4. My home sale in USA will be exempt from capital gains taxes and only half the profit will be sent here to buy the property adjacent to the current property I own.

If I transfer the money into my Thai wife's account, is she liable for Thai taxes? The account in Thailand is in her maiden name as Thai citizen but will be transferred from our joint US account with her married name, any problem there? And is it necessary to register our 13 year marriage in Thailand?

  5. Let's see. A year after meeting her as an18 year old massage girl on the beach. I met her again and was allowed to talk to her by her protective older sister. After 3 weeks of asking her out, she finally agreed and we went to dinner with a chaperone. She told me she had never been alone in a room with a man. After 10 more days we agreed to marry pending parental approval and the negotiations of dowry were settled. I held her hand briefly before I departed for another year to America. Upon returning I went to her village in Burirum and married. After another 3 weeks we finally were able to consummate the marriage due to sizes and tolerances. We went back to the USA and married again. The next year we returned to Thailand and had yet another wedding in her village.

14 years later I am retired, she has given me a wonderful life, gave me a son, now 8 and we are almost inseparable and my very best friend.

The non bar girls just take more work and patience to date.

  6. They allowed an environment where this could have happened. They allowed an environment where police mishandled the investigation. An environment where the DNA and other evidence was compromised. They allowed an environment where taxi drivers coerced witnesses. They allowed police to announce no Thai could have done this. They could have precluded the Brit suspects with the DNA but arrested them anyway. They allowed the immuneyyyÿyyvillage headman to dictate terms of the investigation and his family, one of the prime suspects being his son. They refused to give their DNA. And gave a weak alibi.

No, I would never return there. It is an illicit place without trust and it will suffer badly from sad police.

  7. ASN on Truevisions coverage of Seattle-Denver disappeared in 4th quarter with score 20-12 and came back several minutes later. With it 20-20. Now ASN 2 has dissappeared and True Sports 3 has some NFL games. I have no idea what they are doing, but I don't think they do either. ASN 2 had some college games I will now lose. If they are going to charge real money, They are going to have to provide real service. I am afraid I will have to fire them.
