  1. Hello

I recently came to the Thailand and I brought the girlfriend a game of Frustration, which she and all our friends loved to play but unfortunately when we were in Phitsalanuk visiting a friend the box and some spare pieces were lost.

So I was wondering if anybody had seen it being sold in Thailand and where, as the girlfiend was quite upset that a present I had given her was incomplete. Also 2 of our friends want the game as well.

So if anybody knows if a place sells it, I would appreciate if they could tell me.

    Thanks

  3. Climax plays a bit softer now, but it can depend a lot on who the customers are at a given time!

They changed musicians so often it's hard to keep up. The only ones left from the old days (when it was still open air) are the guitarist and the drummer.

There's a bar on second road in North Pattaya roughly opposite Tiffany's playing the heavier styles of rock, but can't for the life of me remember the name :o

I think there is a bar called the Lead ( pronounced Led ) Bar I believe that's very Heavy Metal.

FORMER WIFE ADMITS GUILT IN KILLING OF GERMAN POLICEMAN EX-HUSBAND IN PATTAYA

Police interrogated the former wife of a murdered German ex-policeman. She confessed that she was an accomplice in the murder and that she conspired with another former husband, an Italian, to hire a French gunman and a Thai gunman to kill him.

Pol.Col. Sarayut Sa-gnuenphokai, Superintendent, Banglamung, Pattaya, declared that police located Mrs. Roong-napha Sridet, (32) from Tak Province, who is the former wife of the murdered man, Mr. Heinrich Hermaan Friedrich.

Mrs.Roong-napha was legally married to Mr.Heinrich and had a son with him. She confessed that she was involved in the murder. She explained that she was involved in a legal dispute with Mr. Heinrich over land and a house which was worth about 10 million baht. Her ex-husband (Mr. Heinrich) won the court case and agreed to divide all properties with her in half under the condition that Mrs. Roong-napha sign a thirty year lease for Mr. Heinrich to live in the house. Mrs. Roong-napha said she consulted with another former husband, who is Italian, and he agreed to help her, by hiring a French gunman (Mr. Mark) and a Thai gunman to kill Mr. Heinrich.

Police are not entirely convinced as to the veracity of Mrs. Roong-napha's account, but do believe that a foreigner was involved; as witnesses heard them speaking English before the killing.

The investigators rushed to detain Mrs. Roong-napha's former Italian husband. He resided at View Talay Condominium, Moo 12, Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi. He vigorously denied the accusation. Police said they need to investigate thoroughly to see if Mrs. Roong-napha's implication of him is valid. They need more evidence in order to arrest the alleged perpetrator.

Suspected French Gunman arrested in German ex-cop murder case.

An update now on a case of murder we featured on 24th June involving a retired German Police Officer, Mr. Heinrich Herman Freidrich aged 63, who was brutally murdered in Soi Suksaboon in Nong Get Yai. Banglamung Police began an intense investigation and it soon became apparent that the victim's former wife, Khun Roongnapa and another of her ex-husbands, an Italian National Mr. Fernando Nardini aged 53, were involved. They were arrested on 27th June and it soon became apparent that Khun Roongnapa contracted the killing of her German former Husband to a French National, Mr. Jean-Marc Andre Thivind aged 54. A profile of the suspected killer was quickly compiled and it was discovered that he is wanted back in France on charges of murder and had come to Thailand to escape from the French authorities. He had purchased a number of properties around Thailand but was thought to have fled to Sukothai Province in the North of Thailand. An arrest warrant was issued and a raid on a house was conducted, however, the suspect had somehow received prior notification of the raid and fled to a nearby Banana Plantation. After a 5 hour search the suspect was caught and transported to Banglamung. Mr. Thivind vehemently denied the allegations of murder despite evidence to the contrary including the seizure of a motorbike thought to have been used in the killing. Police are now conducting further investigations and for now Mr. Thivind is being held at Banglamung Police Station.

So..we have a Thai..a German..a Frenchman and an Italian....yet the police overheard them speaking English??

English is the common language amongst them me thinks

EXCLUSIVE Drink-drive Scot under house arrest for killing binman

A SCOTS drink-driver is under house arrest in Thailand accused of crushing a binman to death while four times the limit.

Gordon McCarry, 24, piled into the back of a refuse truck in Pattaya at high speed, severing the 50-year-old worker's legs. The man, who had been standing behind the truck picking up a bin, died in hospital 24 hours later.

Holidaymaker McCarry was held in cells overnight before being released on bail. He has had his passport confiscated and cannot leave the country.

He has admitted drink-driving but may face further charges over the man's death.

McCarry, of Partick, Glasgow, had been in the resort with his twin brother David and was staying with relatives.

Last night his mother Rona Griffiths, 55, said he faces months of uncertainty before finding out what he is charged with. She added: "Gordon has pled guilty to the drink-drive part of the charge and been fined around £70 but we do not know what is going to happen with the other charges.

"He says he wasn't drunk the night the accident happened but had been drinking the previous day. He is not a drinker normally. "He had gone for a holiday with his brother and decided to stay on because he was enjoying himself."

"He is on bail but has been told he cannot leave the country. David has since come back and is in a daze over what has happened.

Gordon himself can't take it in and finds it difficult to talk about what happened.

"My partner Chris and I were due to go on holiday to Spain this week but had to cancel because of the uncertainty over Gordon."

"It is difficult to get answers from the Thai authorities because things move so slowly out there."

"We are all beside ourselves with worry. Our worse fear is that the Thais will send him to prison." McCarry was cruising around Pattaya in a hired Honda Jazz car when the fatal crash happened in the town's Jontien Beach area on April 1.

His breath test reading was 211 milligrams - more than four times the legal limit of 50.

A witness said: "The driver came at high speed as if he did not even see the truck. It smashed right into the rear, which had this man standing behind."

A Thai newspaper report claimed McCarry was initially too drunk to give a statement to police, who were alerted by staff at a nearby store who saw the crash.

It's understood the car was a write-off but McCarry only suffered minor cuts and bruises. Police in Pattaya last week launched a crackdown on drink driving following a spate of incidents involving drunk tourists.

Penalties have been increased - in future first time drink drivers will be given community service and probation rather than just a fine.

I can't recall reading a more anger-provoking story in quite some time.

The perps' family and friends are disgusting...

I totally agree with you it makes me feel sick.

  6. Hi

I was wondering if anybody knows of any good shops that rent bicycles. I am into road cycling and would like to do some when I am in Phuket, I will be staying in the Patong Beach area so if anybody knows of a place around there would I be grateful if you could let me know.

    P.S

How safe are the roads for cycling ?

  7. I hear that several Pick-up owners listen in on Police radios, and when they hear of a bad accident they race to the scene and offer to take the dead and injured away for treatment or to the Morgue.

Of course in situations like that one is grateful, if hurt for a speedy trip to Hospital.

But, when they leave you there, your money and valuables go with them!

    Rotten lot eh?

    Scummers! :o

Typical Souhtampton fans can't take em anywhere. :D

  9. Hi

I am coming to Phuket on the 26th May to visit my friend for her birthday but now I can't get in touch with her as her phone is switched off permenantly ( which is causing me concern as it has never been before).

The trouble is she has recently moved and I don't have her new address all I know is that she works for a dermatologists near the prison, so I would be grateful if anybody could give me a list of names for dermatologists in that area.

I am asking for help as I will only be in phuket until the 30th and I want to try and find her in the shortest possible time.

    cheers
