Sounds like this is the spin the Government will use in their failed attempt to start tourism. As many TV users have said, very few are willing to jump through all the hoops and extortionate cost to go back to Thailand. What’s the point?  It’s all shut down anyway!

You can apply for a 30 day extension at immigration giving a total of 90 days. Cost is 1900 baht.

Thank you for your reply, if I apply for a 30 day extension will I need to show any other documentation other than my passport? Is it a simple and straight forward process like the 7 day extension (refusal for extension)?

With Hua Hin being a big farang destination. You may want to consider the likelihood that the 2 offenders set out that evening with the sole intention of targeting a farang for robbery, in which case 2 scrawny little Thai kids will almost certainly be packing a weapon. What makes you think you can't attach a baseball bat onto a motorcycle? I could easily do it.
