just yesterday they have approved 1.6bln for an unspecified vax, the next weak another 1.17bln for unspecified vax.
why this secrecy, lack of transparency?
$17 per shot is quite much, the top of what in Europe they are buying (and selling).
Already 6bln was spend on astrazeneca. Looks, like another 6bln for this same company. They would be in the second part of 2021.
money is flowing fast, but no vaccines
If the vaccine origin is not disclosed, the origin is immediately obvious.

Hello,
Thinking of buying a 2nd hand ( used) Mercedes Benz in Bangkok. I’m looking for a reliable, honest experienced mechanic who can check it out thoroughly. Has anyone found/ used such a service in Bkk? Grateful for suggestions.

UOB requires letter to be from your account opening branch, no other.
-
No, cannot. Also, for clarification, non-immigrant O-A "retirement" visa extensions DO require the necessary health insurance policy issued by one of the designated local companies. Once obtained, the insurance company downloads your policy into the ID data base.

Grab works very well in Bkk. Use it daily. Cars clean, drivers above average, some excellent. Have been stood up only 3 times. I always use cash. Huge improvement to the extraordinarily poor public taxi service.

Maybe or maybe not. Immigration still uses tons of papers I presume for the purpose of aggravational hoop jumping for us, but they certainly are getting better and upgrading for online storage being at their disposal. Maybe starting with the airport fiasco restructuring first. As for this QR façade, they could farm it out to servers outside the country and then store it in data bases say like in China. Now isn't that a scary idea.
This is a real and serious concern.

It is your money, of course, and if you choose to throw it away that is on you. But- be under no misunderstanding that by paying off her debts you will clear up financial woes. (1) you will never get any money back ( if that’s your expectation), and
(2) the debts will rack up again immediately in expectation of further salvation.
and, there may be other existing debts she hasn’t warned you about and once the known debts are paid she’ll hit you with these. This is a guaranteed path to hell. Don’t choose that path. In my humble opinion.????

Hanging is a bit too civilized for Blair!

I’ve tried dozens of different Thai-produced coffee ( from Chiang Mai to the south) and all of it falls short of anything I’d recommend.

Great for you, but I am travelling for work nearly every week to Phuket and stay 2 nights. When I am not travelling to Phuket, I am on business trips in Asia. How can I comply with the TM30? Online doesn’t work, I am already waiting 2 months for my log in and password.
Sent from my iPhone using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile appI have friends who have waited over 3 months and still not received theirs.????????

The "why" was explained as " after fust time no need again". Go figure. We've decided that after 10 years as retired visa types and over 20 years of regular visits from HK that we are out of here. Far too much argy-bargy, uncertainty and government imposed paperwork. What's next on the Thai govt agenda. Heading back to civilization.????????????

Trekked up to Bkk immigration for TM30. Been here 10 years. Takes us almost an hour. Was told by staffers that reporting in by TM30 is unnecessary for us.????

Returned thru Swampy yesterday (Monday) and breezed thru the X-ray team like greased lightning- all three staffers were preoccupied with themselves. About 30 folks ahead of us also weren't stopped. FYI????

I lived in Mae On for 5 years and often spotted the distinctly painted Gibbon vans being driven dangerously at high speed on Hwy 1317. If their drivers are any example of professionalism then their zip- line gear must be crappy.

I walked into the Toyota dealership in Chiangmai Mai, kicked some tires and bought a new vehicle. Took about 20 minutes. I am foreign. My wife not Thai.

Looking for folks who might have had a good experience with a urological surgeon specializing in kidneys, in the Bangkok area. It seems I may have to have a kidney removed. Any advice based on experience welcomed.

Chiangmai Mai Ram hospital in Chiangmai Mai used to charge me THB 20,000 for 3 months prescription. When I challenged the bill they fobbed me off. I ferreted out the same stuff at a local pharmacy and it cost THB 2000. Go figure. Pure and simple daylight robbery. High overhead, mounting administrative costs, increased wholesale prices yadda yadda- all total bs and bafflegab. Straight ripoff, without a smile.

Thank you all for the very helpful guidance. I trust everyone will vote the right way????????

I understand that legislation has been passed to allow Canadians to vote in Federal elections. Previously any Canadian who has lived over 3 years abroad as a non- resident could not vote. The theory being- no pay taxes, no vote. Question: is this new law in effect and where can one get registered to do so. Rumours are strong that Jussy will call a snap May election as his ratings have tanked so time may be of the essence. Thanks.
Okay given for Bt300 foreign tourist entry fee

The simple fact that a tourist would select Thailand as a destination should rewarded, not penalized. There are many many alternatives, all with equivalent or better facilities. in my humble opinion.
